2016 ALTEC AA SERIES ELEVATOR

Service bulletins

1 bulletin

Technical service bulletins are instructions a manufacturer sent its dealers about a known fault. They are not recalls and the work is usually not free, but they are the clearest signal of a problem the manufacturer already knows about.

PUN-3147

Other

Altec has learned that operation at inclinations greater than the allowable slope indicator limits shown on the unit's serial number placard can cause the elevator flag pin(s) on certain AA/AN/AN-OC50(E)-E80, AA/AN/AN-OC55(E)-E88, AA/AN60(E)-E93, and AA/AN67(E)-E100 units built from May 2013 to March 2024 to move slightly from the fully seated position . Excessive pin movement can cause damage to the pin flag, secondary retention strap, and associated fasteners. On units with excessive movement in the flag pin(s), the unit must be removed from Service.

Complaint counts are reports filed with NHTSA, not failure rates. A common model collects more of them than a rare one that breaks more often.
