Technical service bulletins are instructions a manufacturer sent its dealers about a known fault. They are not recalls and the work is usually not free, but they are the clearest signal of a problem the manufacturer already knows about.
CSR-3250
Altec Industries, Inc. has received notification from General Motors that a condition exists relating to motor vehicle safety, compliance, or emissions in a vehicle you possess that is equipped with Altec equipment. These vehicles may have a brake pressure sensor assembly that may allow brake fluid to leak beyond the diaphragm seal into the brake pressure switch.
SIL-3221
Altec has learned that the operation placard may not be installed at the upper controls on certain LS aerial units built from January 2023 to December 2024. This could cause confusion when operating the upper controls.
SIL-3190
Altec has learned that the cap screws securing the hose carrier covers could protrude into the travel path of the hose carrier on certain LS60 aerial units built from October 2017 to August 2024. This can result in damage to the hose carrier.
SIL-3156
Altec has learned that the welds on the turntable between the side and base plate(s) were not completed as required by production on certain LS87 aerial units built from June 2016 to January 2024. This could result in cracks forming in the turntable weld.
Complaint counts are reports filed with NHTSA, not failure rates. A common model collects more of them than a rare one that breaks more often.
