On the affected vehicles, the rear-view camera could display a blank or distorted image on the center display screen when the vehicle is in reverse. This relates to the operation and customer satisfaction of certain Altec units with service bodies.

Altec Industries, Inc. has received notification from Ford Motor Company that a condition exists relating to motor vehicle safety, compliance, or emissions in a vehicle you possess that is equipped with Altec equipment. On certain Expedition and Navigator model year 2018 to 2023 vehicles built March 2017 through May 2023; Super Duty model year 2019 to 2023 vehicles built March 2018 to May 2023, the supplemental owner's guide does not include an accurate description of all head restraints and instructions for adjusting or removing certain center head restraints. The inability to access this information increases the risk of injury in the event of a crash.
