Service Bulletin/Repair Instructions
The motorcycle can no longer connect with the BMW Motorrad Connected app due to pairing issue.
Vehicle report
Technical service bulletins are instructions a manufacturer sent its dealers about a known fault. They are not recalls and the work is usually not free, but they are the clearest signal of a problem the manufacturer already knows about.

The motorcycle can no longer connect with the BMW Motorrad Connected app due to pairing issue.

Low power and top speed reduced at low temperatures. The power reduction is due to low temperature of the drive battery cells. Summary of the available power: Between approx. 32 °F to 54 °F cell temperature: There will be limited power, the “turtle” symbol is visible in the instrument cluster until the drive battery has warmed up. Between approx. 14 °F to 32 °F cell temperature: When starting, only the drive battery with the higher State of Charge (SoC) is activated. As soon as both batteries have the same SoC, the second drive battery is switched on while driving. (As long as the SoC is not the same, the customer continues to drive with only one drive battery.) For approx. below 14 °F cell temperature: The vehicle cannot be driven because the drive batteries cannot provide enough electrical current. Note: Activation of the second drive battery at low temperatures has been improved with I level XS01-24-07-525 available with ISTA version 4.52.10 or newer. Charging power: The vehicle cannot be charged at below 32 °F cell temperature. (See owner’s manual.)

The remaining range is calculated using the rider inputs (throttle position, rate of travel, mode of operation, etc.). During short, high load (frequent full throttle) test rides, the remaining range calculation can be come shorter.

After a quality inspection it was found that the “Tire” and “Emissions Control” labels contain incorrect data.

Delivery Stop STOP710015 for the CE 02.
MC610624
A drive battery is not recognized in the vehicle and does not respond when the charging status display key ispressed. This is because the state of charge of the battery drops to a low voltage, the battery is put into a deep sleepmode to protect itself. No other state can be established while in deep sleep mode.
MC610324
The recuperation restriction warning is displayed in the instrument cluster. The following fault is stored in the engine control unit: 0x3A40D0 - Restriction of recuperation, available battery charging capacity The warning indicates that only limited recuperation is possible. It may be necessary to apply the brake toachieve a deceleration that is normally achieved with recuperation. When the warning is displayed: The warning is displayed when the possible recuperation is less than or equal to 30%. The warning is also displayed when the battery temperature is below 50°F (10 °C) or above 113°F (45 °C).
Complaint counts are reports filed with NHTSA, not failure rates. A common model collects more of them than a rare one that breaks more often.
