Service Bulletin/Repair Instructions

The customer states there is a Drivetrain Malfunction message displayed in the instrument cluster. In addition, the following fault memory entries are saved in the CCU (Combined Charging Unit) 0317F2 - High-voltage system, insulation fault detected: when switch contactors are closed. 0317F1 - High-voltage system, insulation resistance below warning threshold: when switch contactors are closed. The fault memory entries (isolation faults) can occur both individually and in combination and must be traced back to the eDrive motor based on the ISTA test procedure. If ISTA test procedure lists possible cause of fault as; A metal chip is found behind the brush module (between the brush module and the end shield of the electrical machine). Repair required. Refer to service solution no. 20000794435083 in Aftersales Information Research (AIR). Follow information in the Procedure section below.

Parts of the steering shaft universal joint may have been joined together without having beengreased. As a result, there can be audible squeaking and cracking noises. In some cases, moresteering force is required.

B610124

Service Bulletin/Repair Instructions

When driving over rough surfaces, a low-frequency rattling noise can be heard inside the vehicle's cabin. The noise typically sounds as though it is coming from the front right footwell area.

B641124

Service Campaign

Quality checks have determined that the coolant changeover valve may develop a coolant leak undervery low outside temperatures (significantly lower than 32º F (0 C)).

B340324

Service Campaign

Improved diagnostic software for the brake system.

B611824

A manufacturing defect in high-voltage cells of the high-voltage battery can result in electrolyte leakage which might result in a conductive connection with surrounding components. Depending on the contact resistance, a yellow or red Check Control message will then be displayed; it is permitted for you to continue driving, but this will result in a charging interruption during charging.

Customer states they started to receive Check Control messages for the driver’s seat at the end of eachdriving cycle: One or more of the following check control messages (CCM) were present at that time: CCM 434 Seat calibration required. CCM 108 Driver restraint system. Eventually multiple restarts after they first noticed the CCM the seat stopped functioning, the air bag warninglamp illuminated in the instrument cluster, and they received a new Check Control message: CCM 97 Restraint system. There are now 6 DTC faults stored: ACSM6 Air Bag module 930D86 - Function restraint system driver restricted. C95432 - seat module Driver (seat memory), message status backrest locking standardization required. C95434 - seat module Driver (seat memory), message status backrest locking standardizationrecommended. FAS_I20 Driver's Seat module 8029F5 - initialization seat: limited seat adjustment due to missing calibration 802A03 - Functions seat adjustment FAS limited available. 802A05 - ÜKB: Shut-off ÜKB because of missing calibration. Also, one or both of the following check control messages (CCM) may currently be present: CCM 108 “Driver restraint system” CCM 109 “Passenger restraint system” The seat initialization and memory has been lost. Or Repeat failure of seat initialization after completing the test module via ISTA.

B612523

Service Bulletin/Repair Instructions

The purpose of this Service Bulletin (SIB) is informational regarding DC (direct current) charging complaints on Gen 5 Battery Electric Vehicles (BEV). It serves as a supporting argument and is intended to help distinguish between a standard designed function or component operation from an actual system fault in a DC charging customer complaint (i.e., “DC Not charging or “DC charging too slow”. Helpful “Tips and Tricks” have been included on each topic within the document that can be used as reference to aid in the diagnosis or in understanding the system. The situation involves several possible causes: 1. Limitation of charging power by the charging station or charging app configuration. 2. Decreasing charging power at a very high state of charge (SoC). 3. Too frequent DC charging attempts within a short period of time. 4. The high-voltage battery is not at the ideal temperature. 5. Ageing of the high-voltage battery.

Complaint counts are reports filed with NHTSA, not failure rates. A common model collects more of them than a rare one that breaks more often.
