Background: After parking the vehicle and turning off the engine both DME control units go into sleep mode at different times. The DME of cylinder bank 2 ("secondary") goes into sleep mode first The DME of cylinder bank 1 ("primary") is still awake and can experience a reduction in signal voltage for the crankshaft sensor signal This signal change can mistakenly be evaluated as a skipped crankshaft sensor cog by the DME. If the engine is started while the primary DME is still awake this causes a brief loss of synchronization with the secondary DME. RAIN/LIGHT SENSOR (RLS): OIL LEAKAGE FROM GEL PAD. ??Oil leaking from the Rain/Light Sensor (RLS). Note: This oil serves as a separation medium between the RLS mounting gel pad and the windscreen. The oil ensures damage free disassembly in case of repair. CAUSE The oil that serves as the separation medium of the Rain/Light Sensor (RLS) gel pad and the windscreen leaks out. Expose the Rain/Light Sensor (RLS) and properly clean the area of all oily residue. Note: The separating oil usually leaks only once from the pad at the RLS. Due to the small oil quantity in the gel pad, additional oil leakage is not plausible. Leaking oil does not impair the function of the RLS.

HeadUp Display Does not Work After Programming. After programming the vehicle with ISTA/P 3.57.3 or 3.58.x; one, or more, of the following situations could exist: The LED display of the tachometer in the instrument cluster is blacked out when door is opened and engine is running (shown below, left). After closing the door, tachometer will display again (shown below, right). The Check Control message is not displayed. HUD (HeadUp Display) does not work. No fault memory is displayed in the final report from ISTA/P or during PDI. This affects vehicles with I-Level S15A-15-11-503 or S15A-16-03-50x. This will not occur in vehicles produced after June 29, 2016. A programming abort occured during programming of the instrument cluster causing a software error in the instrument cluster.
