WI-019-2024

Service Bulletin/Repair Instructions

Brinkley RV has determined that under certain circumstances there can be minor water intrusion into the bedroom under the bedroom slide out. Brinkley RV has determined the bottom slide-out facia backer presses against the water tray below the slideout when the room is fully extended. This pressure can limit the water tray’s ability to dissipate the water as designed. Brinkley RV will, at no charge to the customer, pay to modify the bedroom slide-out fascia backer so it no longer adversely affects flow through the water tray.

Water Intrusion Service

Service Bulletin/Repair Instructions

Brinkley RV has determined the bottom slide-out facia backer, in some cases, presses against the water tray below the slideout when the room is fully extended. This pressure can limit the water tray’s ability to dissipate the water as designed. Brinkley RV will, at no charge to the customer, pay to modify the bedroom slide-out facia backer so it no longer adversely affects flow through the water tray.

CSC-2309

Service Bulletin/Repair Instructions

It has come to our attention that the polycarbonate plastic utilized to manufacture attic vents for the RV industry may be incompatible with the 5121 self-leveling roof sealant that we utilize. We have received reports of cracked attic vents in the field that we believe are the result of the sealant being more rigid than what is traditionally utilized. This additional rigidity does not permit the attic vent to expand and contract and can result in the attic vent cracking either along the location of the mounting screw holes and, in some cases, cracking vertically up the attic vent. Brinkley RV will pay for the Campaign to be completed. There is no charge to the customer for the remedy.

CSC-2301

Service Bulletin/Repair Instructions

After communication with the supplier (Lippert), Brinkley has decided to issue Customer Satisfaction Campaign, CSC-2301. This CSC is to replace the LCI awning pitch bolts with improved bolts and to add additional washers to the installment (parts supplied by LCI). This measure is being done to prevent the pitch bolts from sheering during operation of the awning.

CSC-2302

Service Bulletin/Repair Instructions

Brinkley is issuing CSC-2302 regarding the soffit panel. VINs ending in 1000004-1000039, could have a loose securement allowing the soffit panel to sag. To correct this, additional fasteners are to be installed into the soffit framing, and the panel should then be reinstalled.

CSC-2303

Service Bulletin/Repair Instructions

Brinkley is issuing CSC-2303, as a preventative measure for a potential leak at the lower rail of the bedroom slide. The lower rails of the slide should be removed so a small foam gasket can be installed onto the rail before it is reinstalled. This will ensure water cannot trail into the RV via the rail when the RV is unlevel. CSC-2303 only pertains to units ending in 1000004-1000052.

CSC-2304

Service Bulletin/Repair Instructions

Brinkley is issuing CSC-2304, regarding the attic vents on the roof assembly. VINs ending in 1000004-1000029, may have had a primer applied to the attic vent itself that could cause the material to prematurely crack allowing water infiltration into the roofing assembly. To prevent this from occurring, the attic vents are to be replaced with new and resealed.

Complaint counts are reports filed with NHTSA, not failure rates. A common model collects more of them than a rare one that breaks more often.
