Subject: 05G valve plate replacements on X2 / X4 models Carrier Transicold, in conjunction with Carlyle Compressor, has determined that an out-of-specification condition exists with the 05G compressor built for a period of time in 2013 that were used in those Carrier Transicold X2 / X4 models in the serial number range listed below. Affected 05G compressorsÂ’ discharge valve backers (which are a subcomponent of the valve plate assembly) have been measured out-of-specification which may lead to a failed discharge reed which subsequently may cause the rod to wear through the piston.
