Technical service bulletins are instructions a manufacturer sent its dealers about a known fault. They are not recalls and the work is usually not free, but they are the clearest signal of a problem the manufacturer already knows about.

Service Bulletin/Repair Instructions

According to a Furrion TSB "TB-220919": Irregular cooling performance has been reported on the identified refrigerators. The refrigerator compressor has been found to stop working and requires a “hard reset” by disconnecting power to reset cooling operation. On occasion, disconnecting power does not reset operation and the refrigerator requires service replacement of the control boards. This TSB may not be applicable for some vehicles.

According to DTNA Recall 23V259: "On the affected vehicles, the steer axle tie rod castle nut cotter pin may be missing, allowing the steering arm to detach. This could lead to a loss of steering response and a lack of direction control, increasing the risk of a crash. The driver may experience some additional free-play in the steering and/or feel an improper steering alignment."

Per DTNA Recall 22V379 - On certain vehicles and under certain circumstances, the tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS) may display incorrect information such as maximum temperature and tire pressure, and/or a message that the tires are under or over-inflated. The TPMS controller will be updated with new software, and certain units will require a longer antenna-mounting bracket to extend the rear antenna downward.

Per DTNA recall FL888 21V369 and 21V370; The tie rod clamp may be loose due to the supplied lock nuts being over-crimped. This can cause thread galling of the bolt and nut during installation. When galling occurs, it is possible that assembly torque may be achieved but the clamp is still loose. The tie rod clamp being loose could lead to the threaded tie rod ends becoming loose and eventual steering loss if the rod end pulls out of the tie rod, or the tube is broken due to vibration of the loose joint, creating the risk of crash.

Service Bulletin/Repair Instructions

Damage to the tire’s valve stem may lead to loss of air pressure, which, if unnoticed, could lead to a flat tire or on dual-wheels an overloaded tire. In extreme situations, rapid loss of tire pressure could increase the risk of a crash. Operators may identify an audible rattling noise from the stem extension rubbing against the wheel opening while driving. Visual inspection during inspection or during maintenance may reveal stabilizer is dislocated, damage to the stem extension, or the rim, and low tire pressure of the inner tire.

Daimler Trucks North America LLC (DTNA), on behalf of its wholly owned subsidiary, Freightliner Custom Chassis Corporation, is initiating Field Service Campaign SF637A to modify specific model year 2021 Freightliner Custom Chassis manufactured September 17, 2019 through April 7, 2021. In a low voltage condition, the IP display may not come on when turning on ignition leaving drivers without a functioning instrument panel. This would only occur at startup and the instrument panel would function again if the key is cycled with normal voltage. The software will be updated to resolve the issue.

Complaint counts are reports filed with NHTSA, not failure rates. A common model collects more of them than a rare one that breaks more often.
