Technical service bulletins are instructions a manufacturer sent its dealers about a known fault. They are not recalls and the work is usually not free, but they are the clearest signal of a problem the manufacturer already knows about.

As per recall 23V100. Mercedes-Benz AG (âÃÂÃÂMBAGâÃÂÃÂ), the manufacturer of Mercedes-Benz vehicles, has determined that on certain Sprinter (907 platform) vehicles, the fuse layout of the interior blower motor might not meet the requirements for prolonged operation at the highest blower setting. Influenced by certain premises, such as ambient and assembly space temperatures as well as usage, this could lead to an increase of the transitional resistance between fuse and fuse holder and thus, to a limit-exceeding heat development in the area of the fuse holder. Consequently, a risk of fire during operation and a risk of injury cannot be ruled out.

According to the Interim Recall Notice Received by Mercedes-Benz concerning 22V796: "Mercedes-Benz AG has determined that on certain Sprinter vehicles, a component of the park lock system might wear extraordinarily due to specific driver parking practices and impair safe parking of the vehicle. If the vehicle is not properly secured in accordance with parking instructions in the operator's manual (including usage of the parking brake), it cannot be ruled out that the vehicle might roll away from its parked position under certain circumstances. Thus, the risk of an accident could increase. The driver will not receive a warning due to the nature of the failure mechanism. It is important that the driver ensures that the manual parking brake is engaged to adequately secure the vehicle against rolling away. Additionally, the parking level "P" is only to be inserted when the vehicle is completely stationary. The customer can find precise information on the parking process and on correct vehicle securing in their operator manual. Owners who notice any issues with the automatic transmission park lock function may contact their nearest Mercedes-Benz service partner immediately and have an appointment arranged for the vehicle to be inspected."

This is a Mercedes-Benz Recall that Forest River is passing through. Forest River is not conducting any campaign separately other than notifying our owners and dealers of the Mercedes-Benz Campaign 21V055. USA: 178 Vehicles MBAG has determined that on certain Mercedes-Benz Sprinter vehicles, the software design of the communication module may fail to communicate the correct vehicle's location for the emergency call system ("eCall") in the event of a crash. The high pressure fuel pump (HPFP) on your vehicle may fail prematurely. A high pressure fuel pump failure may introduce internally failed component debris into the fuel system potentially causing fuel starvation. Vehicle occupants may notice a Malfunction Indicator Lamp illuminating, a fuel leak, abnormal engine noise, or a change in drive quality. Fuel starvation may result in an unexpected loss of motive power, which can increase the risk of a vehicle crash without prior warning The remedy for this condition is not currently available. We are making every effort to finalize the remedy as quickly as possible, and will service your vehicle free of charge (parts and labor) when the remedy is available.

MBAG was notified of customer complaints claiming a van had "rolled away" after the driver had selected the Park ("P") gear position and P was displayed to the driver in the instrument cluster. MBAG confirmed that if the vehicle is not properly secured in accordance with the parking instructions in the vehicle Operator's Manual, in particular by always engaging the parking brake after shifting to P, the vehicle could roll from its parked position, which could increase the risk of a crash. Always secure the van in accordance with the instructions in the Operator's Manual.

Attached is the Final Notification from Mercedes-Benz. Mercedes-Benz AG has determined that on certain Mercedes-Benz Sprinter vehicles the retaining washer on the bolt connecting the brake pedal to its bearing block may loosen over time. If the retaining washer loosens, over time it could detach from the bolt. In the worst-case scenario and with ongoing use of the brake pedal, the bolt may slip out of the bearing block on one side. If this occurs, the brake light switch may become permanently activated, even when the brake pedal is not pressed. If the braking lights were permanently illuminated it would not be possible for following traffic to determine the intention of the vehicle, increasing the risk of a crash. As soon as the bolt has slipped out of the bearing block on one side, the driver may notice the brake pedal to feel as if it is moving in a circular formation when being depressed. Owners who notice any issues with the mount of brake pedal on bearing block may contact their nearest Mercedes-Benz service partner immediately and have an appointment arranged for the vehicle to be inspected.

As per Mercedes-Benz Recall 2020-545; Mercedes-Benz AG has determined that on certain vehicles, the wiring harness for the telematics control unit could get stuck between the brake light switch and the brake pedal. If this happens, the brake lights could remain on. Additionally, the vehicle could be started and could be shifted into gear without the need to press the brake pedal. It is also possible that if a driver exits the vehicle through the cargo compartment, the transmission may not shift to Park automatically. This could result in unintended vehicle movement. A vehicle that moves unexpectedly could create the risk of a crash. Brake lights that do not work properly could result in road users being confused of the driver's intentions, and increase the risk of a crash.
