Technical service bulletins are instructions a manufacturer sent its dealers about a known fault. They are not recalls and the work is usually not free, but they are the clearest signal of a problem the manufacturer already knows about.

The 2022-2024 Endera School Bus does not comply with FMVSS 217 “Emergency Exit & Labeling Instructions” requirements. The emergency exit instructions on the driver’s side exit door failed to meet the font height requirement of 1 cm, measured at 0.35 cm, increasing the risk of injury during an emergency egress situation.

It has been determined that 2021-2024 Endera SRW School Bus may not comply with lap and shoulder belt assembly anchorage loadings requirement specified by FMVSS 222, “School Bus Passenger Seating and Crash Protection”. The root cause was a vehicle mis-build condition where a washer was omitted that is part of the seat belt anchorage assembly.
Complaint counts are reports filed with NHTSA, not failure rates. A common model collects more of them than a rare one that breaks more often.
