Girard awning may retract on its own due to interference to the awning motion senor from the interior LED lights of the motorhome. Each awning (2 per motor home) requires in-line capacitor to prevent the interference. The awnings will NOT extend on their own from this interference. The Girard awning has a lock module that when ignition is turned on, all power is removed from the awning motors after 60 seconds to ensure that the awning can not deploy while the motorhome is in motion.

The battery merge solenoid may not connect to charge both banks of batteries, resulting in a NO START situation. An inspection is required to confirm the color of the existing solenoid. White or Grey notes the solenoid is correct and not further action is required, while finding a BLACK solenoid notes a new is required to prevent a NO START situation.
