Technical service bulletins are instructions a manufacturer sent its dealers about a known fault. They are not recalls and the work is usually not free, but they are the clearest signal of a problem the manufacturer already knows about.

For Various Ford and Lincoln vehicles, if diagnostics lead to the replacement of the front seat cushion cover J-clips, lower-level service parts are now available. Use service part W709919-S901 if the J-clip is completely detached from the seat cover and W715386-S424 if the clip is still partially attached. It is not necessary to replace the seat cover if only the J-clip is separating from the cover. Refer to PTS Home > Technical Assistance > Technical Support Videos > Section 501- Body and Paint > Seat J-Clips. For claiming, use causal parts from list below and labor operations 63100A and 63100A5. Some 2025-2026 Bronco vehicles equipped with a 7 speaker audio system (minor feature code IDBAL) may exhibit diagnostic trouble codes (DTC) B128A:01, B128A:11, B128A:12, B128A:13, B1288:11, B1288:12 and/or B1238:17 stored in the audio front control module (ACM) with no customer facing symptoms related to those DTCs. Clear the DTCs and if the DTCs return with no customer facing symptoms, this condition may be due to the ACM software. Replacement of the ACM and/or speakers will not resolve this condition. Inform customers that they can continue to drive the vehicle and engineering is currently working on a solution for this condition that is expected in Q4 2026. Continue to monitor Professional Technician System (PTS) for additional information and schedule service appointments for customers once the repair becomes available. If a vehicle exhibits this condition, enter the vehicle identification number (VIN) and click the "Submit Global Concern Report (GCR)" link at the upper right of the PTS "Vehicle ID" screen. Fill out the GCR form, referencing this article number in the report.

Some 2021-2026 Bronco vehicles may require the removal and installation of the transfer case for various reasons. Installation requires Loctite® 243 adhesive applied to the mounting bolt threads in the transmission. Make sure that the mating faces are clean and dry. Tightening the mounting bolts also requires an updated two-stage tightening sequence. Workshop Manual (WSM), Sections 307-07C/D and 308-07C/D Installation > Transfer Case have been updated to reflect this change.

Some 2025-2026 Bronco/Ranger vehicles may exhibit an illuminated powertrain malfunction (wrench) indicator with diagnostic trouble codes (DTC) P2122, P2123, P2127, P2128, and/or P2138 stored in the powertrain control module (PCM). The vehicle may or may not exhibit a perceived lack of power intermittently. This may be due to an issue with the following connectors associated with the accelerator pedal position (APP) sensor circuits: -C115B -C175B -C2040 Replacement of the accelerator pedal may not resolve this concern. Perform a wiggle test of the connectors while the engine is at normal operating temperature. Perform a visual inspection of the connectors as well as a terminal fit test using the appropriately sized flex probe. Repair as necessary. Refer to Wiring Diagram Cell 005. If no concerns are found, refer to Workshop Manual (WSM), Section 310-02 for normal diagnostics.

Some 2021-2026 Ford/Lincoln vehicles may exhibit various symptoms including but not limited to the auto start/stop system not operating as intended with a "Check Charging System" message in the instrument panel cluster (IPC) while the charging system is operating properly with no charging related diagnostic trouble codes (DTC) stored. This may be due to someone using an aftermarket programmer to change the body control module (BCM) configuration to disable the auto start/stop system or perform other unsupported programming modifications. To correct this condition on F-150 and Bronco vehicles, download and run the Ford Diagnosis and Repair System (FDRS) application titled "BCM-Charging System Configuration Correction". Running this application will determine if the BCM configuration was modified by the customer and if so, provide the option to return the configuration back to factory settings. For other vehicle models exhibiting concerns related to unsupported aftermarket BCM programming, submit a Technical Support Request (TSR) requesting support to revert the BCM configuration

Some 2025-2026 Bronco/Bronco Sport/Corsair/F-150/F-Super Duty/Maverick/Mustang/Mustang Mach-E/Ranger vehicles may exhibit a no audio/sound condition. This may be due to the software in the audio control module (ACM). To determine if it is a software concern, disconnect the vehicle's 12-volt battery cables for 10 minutes and reconnect. If the concern is still present, continue with normal diagnostics in Workshop Manual (WSM), Section 415-00 Information and Entertainment System > General Information > Diagnosis and Testing and repair as necessary outside of this article. If the no audio/sound concern is resolved, reprogram the ACM using the latest software level of the Ford Diagnosis and Repair System (FDRS). Some 2024-2026 Bronco vehicles may exhibit a condition where short drop windows, window bounce-back, and/or one-touch open/close does not operate properly. This may be due to loss of window initialization. Replacement or reprogramming of the DDM, PDM, and/or any other components may not resolve these conditions. The short drop windows feature may be restored by performing a reset procedure as described in the Digital Owner's Manual > Windows > Using Short Drop Windows > Resetting Short Drop Windows. If the customer is experiencing an inability to fully close the window due to repeated bounce-back events, the window bounce-back feature may be overridden by performing an override procedure as described in the Digital Owner's Manual > Windows > Window Bounce-Back > Overriding Windows Bounce-Back. The one-touch open/close feature may be restored by performing a reset procedure as described in the Digital Owner's Manual > Windows > Opening and Closing the Windows > Resetting Window One-Touch. For 20202026 vehicles equipped with the 10R60 transmission, a new Transmission Clutch Circuit Leak Test has been introduced in the Ford Diagnosis and Repair System (FDRS). This test utilizes the pressure and vacuum transducer (PVT) when available. Workshop Manual (WSM) updates related to this diagnostic procedure are planned for release in Q4 2026. The new test improves the accuracy of detecting leaks within transmission fluid circuits and replaces the previous air check method. The previous air check procedure has been shown to produce a high rate of false positives, which may lead to unnecessary repairs when no actual leak is present. Accordingly, the air check procedure is not to be used for diagnosing internal transmission hydraulic leaks or as justification for transmission replacement.

If a vehicle exhibits this condition, this may be due to an incorrect configuration programmed to the ABS module during an attempt to change tire size.

The Ford Performance ProCal 4 tool is the only approved tool that can be used for properly adjusting the tire size calibration. Vehicles originally equipped with 30-inch tires that are being upfit with 35-inch tires should be set to 615 revolutions per mile in the Ford Performance ProCal 4 tool under Diagnostics and Tools > Tire/Gear Adjust. Any other concerns related to tire size calibration that exhibit this condition, contact the Ford Performance Techline as outlined in the Ford Performance ProCal 4 tool instructions.

This limitation in tire size calibration is due to the software in the ABS module.

For 20172026 vehicles equipped with a 10R transmission, a revision to the Road Testing Vehicle procedure has been made in the WSM, located in Section 307-01 > Diagnosis and Testing. This updated procedure improves the diagnosis of customer reported transmission concerns and aids in locating the proper root cause. During diagnosis and testing, details regarding whether the condition is more prevalent when the vehicle is hot or cold, throttle percentage at the time of occurrence, vehicle speed, the specific shift involved, and whether the issue occurs during transmission engagements (N>R, N>D, R>D, or D>R) should be noted. Engineering requests including these detailed operating conditions that will significantly assist with root cause analysis. Diagnosis, testing, and repair should use established labor times outside this article.
