Some 2021-2026 Ford/Lincoln vehicles may exhibit various symptoms including but not limited to the auto start/stop system not operating as intended with a "Check Charging System" message in the instrument panel cluster (IPC) while the charging system is operating properly with no charging related diagnostic trouble codes (DTC) stored. This may be due to someone using an aftermarket programmer to change the body control module (BCM) configuration to disable the auto start/stop system or perform other unsupported programming modifications. To correct this condition on F-150 and Bronco vehicles, download and run the Ford Diagnosis and Repair System (FDRS) application titled "BCM-Charging System Configuration Correction". Running this application will determine if the BCM configuration was modified by the customer and if so, provide the option to return the configuration back to factory settings. Some 2023-2026 F-Super Duty vehicles equipped with a 10R100 or 10R140 transmission may exhibit an intermittent failure to engage forward or reverse gears and/or a loud whining noise. Additionally, the driver will be able to shift back to park. This may be due to PCM software being unable to command the transmission solenoid clutch actuators when the battery has a low state of charge (SoC) and/or the vehicle has been jump started. To restore proper transmission functionality, charge the battery as stated in the Workshop Manual (WSM), Section 414-01 Charging System > General Information. Cycle the ignition on then off and leave the vehicle off for 5 minutes to confirm the condition is no longer present. To prevent this issue from reoccurring, refer to the Owner's Manual > Storing Your Vehicle > Preparing Your Vehicle for Storage > 12V Battery. These kits come with 4 wheel drive (4WD) seals and will no longer include the 2WD seals. When working on a 2WD vehicle, any 2WD seals must be ordered separately. Refer to the parts catalog for the proper 2WD seals required.

All accessory stick-on keyless entry keypads come with a wallet card containing the master code. If the accessory keypad was factory installed, this card will be placed in the glove box and should be handed to the vehicles owner during initial delivery. Unlike the integrated (wired) factory keypad, the accessory keypad master code cannot be retrieved from the vehicle using a diagnostic scan tool. If the wallet card for an accessory keypad is lost, follow these steps to recover the code. Dealer Key Code access is granted through the Dealer Program Enrollment System (DPES); dealership management can authorize users. The authorized user must go to FMCDealer.com > Parts and Service > Parts Product Line Information > Keys/Entry Devices > Aftermarket Keyless Entry Keypad Code Access. Follow the instructions on the screen to obtain the master code for the accessory keypad.

Some 2023-2024 F-Super Duty vehicles may exhibit various diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs) related to the steering angle sensor. Prior to any diagnosis, determine if the vehicle is equipped with an electronic steering actuator (ESA), also referred to as the power steering control module (PSCM), so appropriate pinpoint tests are followed. The ESA is located on the steering shaft and can be seen through the left fender opening or under the hood near the driver's side frame rail. Refer to the Workshop Manual (WSM), Section 211-02 for images as needed. For vehicles equipped with an ESA, the steering angle sensor is integrated into the ESA. For vehicles not equipped with ESA, the steering angle sensor is integrated into the steering column control module, behind the clockspring. The pinpoint tests for the steering angle sensor in the WSM will specify what test or steps to follow based on presence of ESA. Failure to follow the proper pinpoint test may lead to improper diagnosis and repair.

Some 2022 F-Super Duty vehicles equipped with a 12.3 inch center display screen and 2023-2024 F-Super Duty vehicles may exhibit DTCs B1D08 and/or B1D09 stored in the trailer module (TRM) with a Trailer Brake System Fault See Manual message in the instrument panel cluster (IPC) when a trailer is not connected to the vehicle. This may be due to water intrusion at the back side of the trailer tow connector. Disconnect connector C4099 from the back of the trailer tow connector (14489). Inspect connector C4099 and the mating socket on the back of the trailer tow connector for signs of corrosion or damage. If corrosion or damage is present at either connector, replace both the female side of the C4099 connector using service pig tail kit (3U2Z-14S411-JXC) and the trailer tow connector. If corrosion or damage is not present, refer to the Workshop Manual (WSM) Section 417-01 Exterior Lighting, Diagnosis and Testing for additional diagnosis. Some 2023-2024 F-Super Duty/F-53 Motorhome/F-59 Commercial Stripped Chassis or 2023-2025 E-Series/F-650/F-750 vehicles equipped with a gas engine may exhibit an illuminated MIL with ignition system DTC(s) P0352, P0353, P0354, P0355, P0357, P2303, P2306, P2309, P2312, P2318, P2304, P2307, P2310, P2313, P2319, and/or P2322 set in the powertrain control module (PCM). This may be due to incorrect cylinder to DTC mapping within the PCM. This means the DTCs listed may set against the incorrect cylinder. Even though the cylinder to DTC mapping is incorrect in the PCM, the presence of these DTCs means that a real ignition system concern is present that requires diagnosis and repair. Prior to performing a pinpoint test for one of the listed DTCs, it will be necessary to identify the correct cylinder that has the issue. Do this by using the Ford diagnosis and repair system (FDRS) to perform a cylinder power balance test. If the results show two cylinders dropping out, begin diagnosing the ignition system components for the cylinder that is dropping out and not setting an ignition related DTC. Due to the incorrect incorrectcylinder to DTC mapping, the PCM will shut off fuel to the cylinder that the PCM has triggered a DTC against. Diagnosing the cylinder that does not set an ignition DTCand drops during the power balance test, will verify the identity of the cylinder that has the concern. If only onecylinder is dropping out, start diagnostics with that cylinder. Refer to the Workshop Manual, Section 303-07A/C.

Some 2024 F-Super Duty non-Tremor vehicles equipped with four-wheel drive (4WD) may exhibit a slight rotational grinding noise from the front axle while driving in two-wheel drive (2WD). If the noise does not occur with the vehicle driven in 4WD, this may be due to the non-selectable right side hublock on the front axle. To correct the condition, replace the right front hublock with a selectable hublock, service part number PC3Z-3B396-A. Refer to Workshop Manual (WSM), Section 307-07A. Vacuum lines with service base part numbers 3C125 and/or 3C124 may need to be installed if not present on the vehicle. Refer to the parts catalog. Suspension modifications may contribute to the concern. Inspect the vehicle for aftermarket levelling or lift kits as well as aftermarket caster/camber adjusting sleeves. If any vehicle modifications are present, this is not a warrantable repair. Do not submit a claim. Some 2022-2024 F-Super Duty vehicles equipped with a 6.7L engine may exhibit an illuminated malfunction indicator lamp (MIL) with only diagnostic trouble code (DTC) U3012 stored in the PCM. If no drivability concerns or other DTCs are present, perform normal diagnostics per the Workshop Manual (WSM). If diagnostics lead to the powertrain control module (PCM) or body control module (BCM), the replacement of the PCM and/or the BCM will not resolve this concern. This illuminated MIL with DTC U3012 does not affect vehicle durability and no additional diagnosis or service is required for this condition at this time. Inform customers that they can continue to drive the vehicle and engineering is currently working on a solution for this condition.
