Technical service bulletins are instructions a manufacturer sent its dealers about a known fault. They are not recalls and the work is usually not free, but they are the clearest signal of a problem the manufacturer already knows about.

Some 2026-2027 Transit vehicles may exhibit diagnostic trouble code (DTC) B00DF:4A stored in the restraints control module (RCM) when a diagnostic self-test is performed. If there are no observable vehicle symptoms, the DTC will clear using the "Self-Test" application in the Ford Diagnosis and Repair System (FDRS). Replacement and/or programming of the RCM is not needed to correct this condition. If there is an observable vehicle symptom and/or the DTC will not clear, follow normal Workshop Manual diagnostics.

Some 2026-2027 Transit vehicles may exhibit a "Rear Belt Monitor Fault Service Required" message displayed in the instrument panel cluster (IPC) while in transport mode. The vehicle's rear belt monitor system will operate as designed once transport mode is exited and the vehicle enters normal mode after a key cycle. This condition does not affect vehicle durability, and no additional diagnosis or service is required for this fault message at this time.

Some 2026 Transit vehicles built on or after 16-Jul-2025 may exhibit all of the following symptoms: - "No Key Detected" message displayed on the instrument panel cluster (IPC).- Key fob does not work in the backup slot. - Remote keyless entry (RKE) (lock and unlock from the key fob) functionality will work to lock/unlock the vehicle. If the vehicle exhibits these symptoms, manually enter the vehicle identification number (VIN) into the VIN entry dialog in the Ford Diagnosis and Repair System (FDRS) and then start a session using the Vehicle Communication Module (VCM) II, VCM 3, Vehicle Communication and Measurement Module (VCMM) or later level device with a universal serial bus (USB) cable disconnected from the laptop. Download the "BCM - Body Control Module (BCM) Hardware Test" application from the Toolbox. Select "Run" and connect the VCM II, VCM 3, VCMM or later device USB cable to the laptop. Follow the instructions as directed by the "BCM - Body Control Module (BCM) Hardware Test" guided routine. For claiming, use causal part 15604 and labor operation

Some 2026 Transit vehicles may exhibit a no audio/sound condition. This may be due to the software in the audio control module (ACM). To determine if it is a software concern, disconnect the 12-volt battery cables for 10 minutes and reconnect. If the concern is still present, continue with normal diagnostics in Workshop Manual (WSM), Section 415-00 Information and Entertainment System > General Information > Diagnosis and Testing and repair as necessary outside of this article. If the no audio/sound concern is resolved, reprogram the ACM using the latest software level of the Ford Diagnosis and Repair System (FDRS). For claiming, use causal part 18806 and labor operations 12651D and 12651D4.

Some 2021-2026 Ford/Lincoln vehicles may exhibit various symptoms including but not limited to the auto start/stop system not operating as intended with a "Check Charging System" message in the instrument panel cluster (IPC) while the charging system is operating properly with no charging related diagnostic trouble codes (DTC) stored. This may be due to someone using an aftermarket programmer to change the body control module (BCM) configuration to disable the auto start/stop system or perform other unsupported programming modifications. To correct this condition on F-150 and Bronco vehicles, download and run the Ford Diagnosis and Repair System (FDRS) application titled "BCM-Charging System Configuration Correction". Running this application will determine if the BCM configuration was modified by the customer and if so, provide the option to return the configuration back to factory settings. For other vehicle models exhibiting concerns related to unsupported aftermarket BCM programming, submit a Technical Support Request (TSR) requesting support to revert the BCM configuration

Some 2021-2026 Ford vehicles may exhibit inoperative heated/cooled seats, heated steering wheel and/or front/rear defrost features after a remote start is performed through the Ford mobile application or with the key fob. Customers may also experience heated/cooled seats, heated steering wheel and/or front/rear defrost features turning on in unexpected conditions such as during warmer weather. These features will operate normally when commanded in the center display screen. This may be due to the customer not setting up their "Climate Settings" through the Ford mobile application. To correct this condition, inform the customer they should perform a remote start from the Ford mobile application and then adjust the "Climate Settings" in the Ford mobile application as desired. These settings only need to be set once and will persist through subsequent remote starts. Heated and cooled seats will be set to Level 2 when turned ON via "Climate Settings" in the Ford mobile application during a remote start event. This is normal operating characteristic. This condition does not affect vehicle durability and no a

Some 2025-2026 Maverick and 2026 Transit/Bronco Sport vehicles equipped with an 8-inch instrument panel cluster (IPC) display may exhibit a condition where the fuel gauge displays up to the 8th mark below full fuel level when the fuel tank is full. This condition does not affect vehicle durability and no additional diagnosis or service is required at this time. Inform customers that they can continue to drive the vehicle and engineering is currently working on a solution for this condition that is expected by the end of Q3 2026. Replacement/reprogramming of the IPC will not resolve this condition. Monitor Professional Technician System (PTS) for additional information and schedule service appointments for customers once the repair becomes available. If this condition is encountered, enter a vehicle identification number (VIN) and click the "Submit Global Concern Report (GCR)" link at the upper right of the PTS "Vehicle ID" screen. Fill out the GCR form, referencing this article number in the report. Do not use the "Report A Problem" link to submit a report for this condition.

Some 2026 Transit customers may request additional keys to be programmed to the vehicle. The maximum number of keys that are allowed to be programmed is now 4. This is due to the architecture of the body control module (BCM) changing that now limits the number of keys programmed. Ford Diagnosis and Repair System (FDRS) has been updated to reflect that 4 keys are the maximum number of keys to be programmed. The Workshop Manual (WSM), Section 419-01B > Description and Operation has also been updated to reflect this update.

Some 2026 Transit Chassis Cab/Cutaway vehicles that were ordered with a blind spot information system (BLIS) kit (minor feature code HLLAM) may not be able to connect the harness to the vehicle after the upfit has been completed. This may be due to the harness being too short in length. To correct this condition, order a new BLIS kit harness using service part number RK3Z-15K868-A. <br /><br /> To confirm a vehicle is built with a certain minor feature code, review the build information by double-clicking the vehicle identification number (VIN) in the upper left corner in the Professional Technician System (PTS).
