Service Campaign
Some vehicles may exhibit a loss of connectivity or interruptions in the middle of using Connected Car Services (CCS) functions. This may be due to an occasional disconnection on Verizon’s communication network.
Vehicle report
Technical service bulletins are instructions a manufacturer sent its dealers about a known fault. They are not recalls and the work is usually not free, but they are the clearest signal of a problem the manufacturer already knows about.

Certain GV60 (JW1 EV) vehicles may exhibit a condition where a cell voltage variation becomes active after charging. The Battery Management System (BMS) software logic could cause an HV battery cell voltage to be misread under specific conditions resulting in a false-positive DTC, MIL on, and 80% maximum HV battery charge limit. There is no other effect on the vehicle and all systems remain operational. With this update the charging logic is also improved for charging calibration and climate control functions in the Genesis Connect app. Regardless of whether the vehicle has an active DTC P1AA900 or not, follow the procedure in this TSB to update the software for the Battery Management System (BMS).

This bulletin provides important special service instructions to properly repair a vehicle that has been diagnosed to require an Integrated Charge Control Unit (ICCU) replacement, such as required for DTC P1A9096 DC to DC related charging concern or for inoperative AC charging. • The ICCU fuse accessible from a rear side panel of the EV Battery, should NEVER be replaced by itself prior to receiving an ICCU replacement part. • The ICCU fuse should be replaced at the same time as replacing the ICCU part. o The ICCU fuse function is to protect the EV Battery from a damaged ICCU. o DTC P1B77 Power Relay Assy (PRA) damage in the EV Battery can occur when an ICCU fuse is first replaced without also replacing the ICCU together. o Vehicles with P1B77 require Techline approval for field staff involved EV Battery repair and can result in significant additional delay for customers. o Wait to receive ICCU replacement part first before also replacing the ICCU fuse on the rear side of the EV battery. This bulletin also covers how to handle a situation when the nut(s) at the rear of the ICCU fuse falls back into the battery.

Certain GV70 Electrified (JK1A EV), GV60 (JW1 EV), and G80 Electrified (RG3 EV) vehicles may exhibit a condition while charging with a 240V AC (Level 2) charger where the vehicle experiences an interrupted charging session or a lower charging speed. This occurs to prevent potential damage to the charging cable connection. Follow the procedure in this TSB to update the software logic for the Vehicle Charging Management System (VCMS), which initiates a self-restart that allows the vehicle charging to return to full capacity once stabilized.
24-01-052G
Certain 2023-24MY GV60 (JW1) vehicles may exhibit a condition where the outside mirrors do not correctly fold/unfold. Follow the procedure in this bulletin to update the LH/RH outside mirror controllers.
24-BE-009G
OTA is intended to be performed by the customer within the vehicle. Only if the OTA fails, proceed with the GDS Manual Update outlined in this TSB. This procedure updates the software to improve the surround view monitor system on certain 2023-2024MY GV60 (JW1 EV) vehicles.
24-01-041G
Some vehicle may experience an inoperable Automatic Emergency Brake (AEB) function while Rear Cross – Traffic Collision – Avoidance (RCCA) is active. An inoperable AEB could increase the risk of collision. This service campaign provides instructions to utilize the GDS to update the Integrated Electronic Braking (IEB) variant code for vehicles.

This bulletin describes the procedure to repair front seats that exhibit minor play while the vehicle is accelerating and/or braking. The repair procedure involves replacing the seat track bolts and washers and initializing the power seat module.
24-EV-003G
Certain 2023-2024MY G80 Electrified (RG3 EV), 2023-2024MY GV60 (JW1 EV), and 2023-2024MY GV70 Electrified (JK1a EV) may have a condition of the power down warning light (turtle symbol) with "Power is limited" displayed in the cluster, and possible DTC P0A2F. If you are servicing a vehicle with either of these conditions, follow this bulletin to inspect the EOP.
24-EV-002G
If you are servicing a vehicle with a missing or damaged insulation cap from the EV Charging Port follow the information in this TSB to replace any missing/damaged insulation cap(s) on certain 2023-24MY GV60 (JW1 EV), G80 Electrified (RG3 EV) and GV70 Electrified (JK1a EV) vehicles. The charging insulation caps are important to ensure proper charger connector orientation and fit to the vehicle charge port.

This bulletin is issued to provide the extended battery diagnosis procedure using GDS. This battery diagnosis function displays the various battery-related faults such as: ⢠Internal short circuit ⢠Battery deterioration ⢠Malfunction of electronic parts ⢠Insufficient battery charge ⢠Normal battery ⢠Charging defect Battery diagnosis uses the battery sensor history saved for the last 30 days and ICU diagnostic communication to track battery state of charge (SOC) and current parasitic draw history.

Certain 2023MY G80 Electrified (RG3 EV), 2023-24MY GV60 (JW1 EV), and 2023-24MY GV70 Electrified (JK1a EV) vehicles may have a condition where low 12V auxiliary battery charging occurs due to an ICCU (Integrated Charge Control Unit) fault and may set the following DTC P1A9096 â âDC/DC Converter Input Voltage Sensor Faultâ. When a fault occurs, the vehicle may enter a reduced power mode while various warning lights, an audible chime will sound, and large messaging in the vehicleâs instrument cluster will appear and instruct the driver to stop the vehicle. The Service Procedure flow to be followed is outlined by the flowchart on Page-3. The ICCU system is to be checked by GDS for DTC P1A9096 and depending on the result, will involve either an ICCU software update, or ICCU and fuse replacement.

Genesis applies a Paint Protection Film (PPF) on new vehicles before delivery to dealerships. It provides a barrier between the paint and contaminants, such as rail dust, acid rain, and industrial fallout. In rare cases, the paint can become clouded under the PPF. These spots are the result of moisture trapped between the PPF and the paint.
Complaint counts are reports filed with NHTSA, not failure rates. A common model collects more of them than a rare one that breaks more often.
