Technical service bulletins are instructions a manufacturer sent its dealers about a known fault. They are not recalls and the work is usually not free, but they are the clearest signal of a problem the manufacturer already knows about.

Service Bulletin/Repair Instructions
Some GV70 (JK1, JK1A), GV80 (JX1) and G80 (RG3) vehicles may have a hum or whine noise condition from the rear differential at certain speeds. This bulletin describes the procedure to inspect the vehicle for the hum or whine noise and, if necessary, to tighten the rear differential lock nut to specification. If the hum or whine noise remains after tightening the lock nut, then this bulletin provides instructions to replace the rear differential or other driveline components as necessary.

Warranty Program/Extension
Certain GV70 (JK1) vehicles may experience an intermittent A/C inoperative condition when the engine is started after the air conditioner has been operated with the ignition switch in the ON position. During engine cranking, a temporary low-voltage condition may cause the blower motor protection logic to activate, resulting in the A/C system turning OFF and remaining inoperative until the vehicle is restarted. This bulletin provides the procedure to update the ATCU (Air Temperature Control Unit) software to revise blower motor protection logic and prevent this condition from occurring.
