Technical service bulletins are instructions a manufacturer sent its dealers about a known fault. They are not recalls and the work is usually not free, but they are the clearest signal of a problem the manufacturer already knows about.

Because of a supply issue with the blue hose covering, Eaton is temporarily making FC-300 hose using black covering. FC-300 hose assemblies made between October 2018 to May 2019 will be affected by this change.

This field service bulletin is informing vehicle owners and aftermarket part purchasers that the Pressure Relief Device (PRD) vent tube caps on Agility CNG systems are important to maintain to help prevent moisture and/or debris from causing the PRD to malfunction. The bulletin is clear that the existing vent tube caps need not be replaced unless missing or damaged, but if they are replaced, the PRD vent lines and PRD bodies must be inspected prior to replacing a cap. The new vent tube caps are red in color to facilitate visibility, making inspections easier.

This field service bulletin is informing vehicle owners and aftermarket part purchasers that Neway®, a SAF-HOLLAND® division, has identified some suspension installation and monitoring issues on the ADLSD-120 suspension used on 29' Gillig buses manufactured between 2007 and 2017. The following provides information on correct shim/spacer locations, bushing inspection, equalizing beam blade out of service wear criteria and bushing shim installation to extend the service life of the suspension. Improper maintenance can lead to excessive beam and bushing wear and failure.

Gillig has received reports of partial cracking in the steering gear mounting plate in some Low Floor buses. We are now requesting that owners of all Low Floor buses from model year 1997 through June, 2015 inspect the steering gear mounting plates per the instructions in this bulletin. Inspections should commence at the next Preventative Maintenance Cycle and continue at every 12,000 mile PM inspection thereafter. Steering Gear Mounting Plates found to have cracks less than 6 inches in length should be changed out at the earliest opportunity. Any bus found to have a Steering Gear Mounting Plate with a crack 6 inches long or longer must be immediately removed from service and the Plate replaced before reentering service.
