Service Campaign

This applies to some GILLIG Allison eGen Flex Hybrids built between the years 2021 and 2024 using a speedometer that does not correctly accumulate odometer mileage when the vehicle is driving in electric only mode (engine not running).

Gillig Hybrid Electric vehicles that utilize "Depot" mode or Geofencing are not accumulating electric only odometer mileage. Some Gillig Hybrid electric vehicles were built using a speedometer that does not correctly accumulate odometer mileage when the vehicle is driving in electric only mode (engine not running).

Service Campaign

Allison Transmission equipped buses were built without a pressure regulator at the Solenoid inlet to the transmission retarder accumulator air inlet. This bulletin provides retrofit instructions for installing a pressure regulator to remedy leaks at the solenoid air exhaust.

Complaint counts are reports filed with NHTSA, not failure rates. A common model collects more of them than a rare one that breaks more often.
