Usually if porosity is present there will be a break in the carbon ring. Only replace the engine if true porosity is found. ABS isolation functionality is disabled by the EBCM on affected wheel(s), and a shorted dump transistor will disable dump control, without notification to the driver. Dealers will reprogram the electronic brake control module (EBCM).
