SERVICE BULLETIN M1691: LINKED BRAKING FUNCTIONAL IMPROVEMENT. PURPOSE: Initial Release. This bulletin inform dealers that there is an Electro Hydraulic Control Unit (EHCU) update available. This update is to improve functionality of the Linked Braking System. Linked Braking allows for more balanced front and rear braking under a wide variety of brake applications. At speeds greater than 20 mph (32 km/h), the system dynamically adjusts the linking to achieve better braking balance, as compared to single input braking. The EHCU update improves Linked Braking with optimized front and rear brake proportioning while only the rear brake is being applied by the rider. This software update is to address a possible customer concern related to the smoothness of brake engagement during a linked braking event when only rear brake is applied. If a customer has concerns on this Linked Braking operation under these conditions, this improvement update can be applied. NOTE: For vehicles within factory warranty and concern is present, submit a warranty claim per Table 4.

PURPOSE: This bulletin informs dealers that in the event "VINERR" is displayed on the Infotainment Control Unit (IFCU), the IFCU will turn off the WiFi menu and Navigation. This is an as designed reaction to the "VINERR" message. In this condition functions such as WiFi, Wireless Apple CarPlay® and embedded Navigation will not work. "VINERR" will be displayed in the odometer if the IFCU and Electronic Control Module (ECM) are not seeing the same Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) in both modules. SERVICE BULLETIN M1625 (REV D): SKYLINE OS AND AMPLIFIER SOFTWARE UPDATE FOR 2024. PURPOSE: Revision C & D. This bulletin informs dealers that there is a Skyline⢠OS update and Amplifier update available for the 2024 Touring bikes equipped with an Infotainment Control Unit (IFCU). The vehicle's IFCU leaving the Harley-Davidson manufacturing facility will have Skyline⢠OS (Software version 240002100D) installed and will need to be updated to Skyline⢠OS (Software version 240002111D). Amplifiers will have (Software version 1.3.3.0) installed and also need to be updated to (Software version 1.3.8.0). These updates combine to contain bug fixes to Embedded Navigation, Apple CarPlay® and the Audio System. Revision C & D added an update to credit procedures.
