This bulletin informs dealers that there is an Electronic Control Module (ECM) update available for 2021-2025 RA1250, RA1250S, RA1250ST and RA1250SE on Digital Technician II (DT II). The update improves engine function by addressing engine operation after a cold start by improving idle stability and improved Quickshifter function. For 2021-2024 models the Body Control Module (BCM) and ECM update must both be completed. If only the ECM is updated, a nuisance Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) U040000 will populate and not be able to be cleared. Because of this, the BCM update should be done first and then the ECM.

Recent evaluations have identified that certain newly manufactured exhaust headers may contain residual hard particles that, if not removed prior to installation, can migrate through the engine system and cause accelerated component wear or severe mechanical damage.

The issue prevents automatic software updates to be installed on your DT II computer. A manual installation of the latest DT II software version (26.4.3) will need to be performed if current DT II software version is (26.0.2), to allow future automatic updates. If a manual update to (26.1.5) or (26.3.2) has previously been completed, DT II will automatically update to (26.4.3) and no additional action is needed.. Revision C. To inform dealers that a new redesigned Fuel Pump Module is available for the Sportster S and Pan America vehicles. The new Fuel Pump Module (Part No. 61200062A) has a larger fuel filter with new media and a slightly different housing to allow for assembly. This new Fuel Pump Module is retrofittable to all older vehicles. The new Fuel Filter (Part No. 61200123) is available separately for service but will only fit the new Fuel Pump Module. DO NOT mix old and new parts. When making warranty repairs, use the new Fuel Pump module (Part No. 61200062A). Return all old inventory of (Part No. 61200062) per Table 4.
