An improved head gasket has been made available as a service part and should be used if replacement of the head gasket is necessary. Improvement of the head gasket includes the addition of rubber seals around the engine oil and engine coolant port holes.

SB ? 05 - 006 Upon removal of a transmission assembly from the vehicle, inspection is required to confirm the presence and correct installation of the two dowel pins in the rear engine housing. In some rare cases one or both dowel pins may have come out with the transmission during removal. These pins need to be positioned in the engine housing prior to the installation of a replacement transmission assembly. If flex plate is broken, please confirm that the two dowel pins can be found either on the rear engine housing or on the transmission housing.
