In some cases, the customer may report a visual chassis posture concern where the chassis appears to be leaning more towards the driver side or passenger side. The following publication can be referenced to obtain the manufacture?s measurement positions and specifications. Should the truck not meet the specifications, you should consider the following potential causes noted in the inspection guideline section below.

SB-15-026 A subject vehicle may exhibit an engine oil leak or engine coolant leaking externally from the engine head gasket sealing area on the exhaust manifold side of the engine. An improved head gasket has been made available as a service part and should be used if replacement of the head gasket is necessary. Improvement of the head gasket includes the addition of rubber seals around the engine oil and engine coolant port holes.

TB-04-07 An engineering change in connecting rods was made from a stud with nuts to fasten the cap, to a bolt only to fasten the cap. The connecting rods with the stud and nuts are no longer available. The two different styles are interchangeable however the bearings are not. The bearing ?tang? was relocated as well as a difference in the width.
