Technical service bulletins are instructions a manufacturer sent its dealers about a known fault. They are not recalls and the work is usually not free, but they are the clearest signal of a problem the manufacturer already knows about.

CUSTOMER NOTIFICATION - FOLLOWUP NOTIFICATION. THE ELECTRIC POWER STEERING (EPS) TORQUE SENSOR MAY CONTAIN A MANUFACTURING DEFECT. IF THE EPS CONROL UNIT DETECTS A TORQUE SENSOR FAILURE, IT IS PROGRAMMED TO GENERATE AN ERROR CODE AND WIL LDISABLE THE POWER-ASSIST.
