Updates have been made to your vehicle Owner’s Manual regarding the instructions for the second- and third-row power seat operation.
Vehicle report
Technical service bulletins are instructions a manufacturer sent its dealers about a known fault. They are not recalls and the work is usually not free, but they are the clearest signal of a problem the manufacturer already knows about.

Certain Palisade (LX3) and Palisade Hybrid (LX3 HEV) vehicles may exhibit a “Check Active Air Flap System" warning message, Engine MIL ON, and/or “Low Engine Oil" warning message, due to improper operation of the Active Air Flap (AAF) system. DTCs include, but are not limited to: P05AE00, P05B100, P05B200, P05B400, P05FE00, P15A200, P15A500, P2C7400, U028500, U028B00, and/or U100800. This condition may be caused by water ingress and corrosion at the wiring connections for the lower AAF actuators and/or sensors.

Some Palisade Hybrid (LX3 HEV) vehicles may exhibit continuous engine operation due to the vehicle being unable to enter EV/HEV modes. The vehicle may initially start in EV/HEV mode, but will quickly transition to running the engine only and will not revert back to EV/HEV mode. The “EV” light may intermittently flicker on, but the vehicle will not change modes. This bulletin provides instructions to perform the “Evaporative Leakage Test” function on the GDS to enable EV/HEV mode activation.

Certain Palisade Hybrid (LX3 HEV) vehicles may illuminate the Malfunction Indicator Lamp (MIL) and display a false “Check Hybrid System” warning message after use of Bluelink Remote Start following extended parking periods. Related DTCs associated with the MIL include U116087, U016487, U100787, U012987, U010087, U100387, U100287, U010187, and U015587. Technical Service Bulletin (TSB) 26-01-055H provides instructions to perform a Vehicle Platform Controller (VPC) software update to prevent these conditions.

DTN DCS
The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) has issued an urgent safety advisory regarding dangerous, counterfeit driver‑side airbag inflators manufactured by Jilin Province Detiannuo Automobile Safety System Co., Ltd. (DTN), that have been identified in U.S. vehicles following prior crashes, theft, or non‑certified airbag replacements. These inflators are not approved for use, may rupture during deployment, and have caused serious injuries and fatalities. Please see attached announcement, provided by NHTSA, for more details.
DTN DL
The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) has identified the presence of substandard and dangerous driver’s-side airbag inflators manufactured by Jilin Province Detiannuo Automobile Safety System Co., Ltd. (DTN). These inflators were not supplied, approved, or authorized by the vehicle manufacturers and have primarily been found in vehicles that previously experienced a crash and underwent airbag replacement using non-genuine parts. These dangerous inflators have ruptured during deployment, posing a serious risk of injury or death due to metal fragments entering the vehicle cabin. To date, Hyundai is aware of three people who have died while driving a Hyundai vehicle with one of these substandard replacement airbag inflators that deployed in what likely would have been a survivable crash. NHTSA has issued a public advisory urging vehicle owners and service professionals to have vehicles inspected if there is reason to believe that a non-genuine replacement airbag may have been installed. Vehicles with salvage or rebuilt titles, prior airbag deployments, or unknown repair histories may present a higher risk. NHTSA strongly cautions against self-inspection by vehicle owners and recommends inspection by trained technicians.

Some vehicles may exhibit a loss of connectivity or interruptions in the middle of using Bluelink functions. This may be due to an occasional disconnection on Verizon’s communication network. Follow the procedures in this bulletin to verify Bluelink Data Communication Unit (DCU) network connection and if needed, reset the DCU in Dealer Mode to resolve the connection.

Complaint counts are reports filed with NHTSA, not failure rates. A common model collects more of them than a rare one that breaks more often.
