Indian Motorcycle has determined that model year 2020-2024 Challenger, 2022-2024 Pursuit and 2024 Chief motorcycles may encounter a scenario in which the Vehicle Control Module (VCM) or Wireless Control Module (WCM) may not fully power off, resulting in unnecessary current draw from the battery. To address this concern, Indian Motorcycle has released this Service Bulletin with instructions to update the VCM and/or WCM software. Revision 4 Added notice that bulletin part I-24-08-CA should not be performed on Japan models.

The updated ECM calibration improves low speed operation, misfire detection, and idle performance. The updated ECM calibration will also increase the accuracy of the fuel level and expected range.

Indian Motorcycle has determined that some 2020, 2022, 2024 Challenger and 2024 Pursuit modelsâ left-hand crankcase oil drain passage may be plugged. If plugged, an incomplete oil volume drain may occur during an oil change. The oil passage is only used when oil is drained from the engine and presents no risk to normal engine operation. To address this concern, Indian Motorcycle has released this Service Bulletin with instructions to inspect the left-hand crank case oil drain passages, and repair if needed.

Indian Motorcycle has determined that some 2022 Challenger and Pursuit motorcycles may have been built without a silicone plug in the chassis-to-fairing electrical harness connector (components) which may result in water intrusion and corrosion of said components. To address this concern, Indian Motorcycle has released this Service Bulletin with instructions to inspect the chassis-to-fairing electrical harness connector for damage and install cavity plugs. If corrosion is present, both the chassis and fairing electrical harness replacement may be required.

INDIAN MOTORCYCLE RIDE COMMAND 1.3.1 SOFTWARE OVERVIEW (7â DISPLAYS) The new Ride Command 1.3.1 software includes a new feature and many great usability improvements. The software comes standard on all model year 2023 Challenger, Indian Pursuit, Chieftain and Roadmaster bikes. It will be sent out as an over-the-air update on connected bikes (on 3/6/23) and can also be downloaded from the Ride Command website on any model year 2020 or newer Challenger, Indian Pursuit, Chieftain or Roadmaster.

Indian Motorcycle has identified a VCM calibration issue affecting some MY22 Challenger motorcycles. In some instances, the Ride Command display shows the "Shock Preload" settings for the Electronically Adjustable FOX Rear Suspension Preload accessory. This is only an accessory for MY22 Challenger and did not come installed from the factory. To address this, Indian Motorcycle has released an updated VCM calibration and a disable procedure. The new VCM calibration followed by a disable procedure will remove the "Shock Preload" settings from the Ride Command display.

There have been some dealers that reported having a 49 state bike delivered to them that displays a current P0444 :code for a emmissions canister error, when there is no canister on a 49 state bike. The canisters are used on 50 state or California legal emissions bikes. The cure is to charge the battery & attach a5 amp or larger charger to the vehicles battery and run ECU Reprogramming/Reconfiguration and the problem should be resolved. NOTE: as of 1/29/22 I would recommend only flashing using legacy Digital Wrench NOT Digital Wrench-2 unless advised to do so by tech service at this time (1/29/22). Digital Wrench 2 is currently still causing some concerns when performing certain updates. We are working hard to correct these issues ASAP. The reflash of the ECU appears to address the population of the .P0444 :code
