INDIAN MOTORCYCLE RIDE COMMAND 1.3.1 SOFTWARE OVERVIEW (7â DISPLAYS) The new Ride Command 1.3.1 software includes a new feature and many great usability improvements. The software comes standard on all model year 2023 Challenger, Indian Pursuit, Chieftain and Roadmaster bikes. It will be sent out as an over-the-air update on connected bikes (on 3/6/23) and can also be downloaded from the Ride Command website on any model year 2020 or newer Challenger, Indian Pursuit, Chieftain or Roadmaster.

Polaris and Indian Motorcycle has determined that certain Ride Command displays (produced between 2019 and 2021) installed in vehicles do not fully conform to Federal Communications Commission (FCC) requirements. As part of our program to address this matter, Polaris is sending letters to impacted consumers to outline the nature of this matter and provide options on having updated software installed. Consumers will be encouraged to perform the update themselves but will be given the option to bring vehicles into a dealership for this software update to be performed at no cost to them.

Indian Motorcycle identified that on Indian Scout Models there is a potential for damage to occur to electrical hardware or the vehicle harness if the battery ground cable and ground joint is not connected properly. Damage can occur during procedures that require the battery cable to be disconnected or during battery removal and installation.

We have had a few cases for the light setting not changing on Ride Commands when they were in the auto settings. In some of those cases it was determined the operator did not realize there was an auto setting for brightness and a second auto setting for Day/Night modes
Complaint counts are reports filed with NHTSA, not failure rates. A common model collects more of them than a rare one that breaks more often.
