CERTIFICATION LABEL AND VIN PLATE REPLACEMENT SERVICE INFORMATION Because of collision damage or other vehicle repair, a replacement “Certification Label” or “VIN Plate/Label” may be needed. HINT: Certification Label = FMVSS (Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards) label. These items may be available from Infiniti by request if certain criteria are met. This bulletin lists the criteria and provides an application form for such replacements. · The “VIN Plate/Label” (metal plate or vinyl label) is attached to the instrument panel or body on the driver side at the base of the windshield (see Figure 1). · The “Certification Label” (vinyl adhesive label) is located on the lower area of the driver side B-Pillar (see Figure 1).

SERVICE INFORMATION The Applied Vehicles are equipped with a wireless communication device called a Telematics Communication Unit (TCU). With an active Infiniti Connection® or Infiniti InTouch Services™, the TCU communicates with the Infiniti Data Center to provide various security and convenience services. This bulletin contains important service procedures that must be performed properly in order to set-up and maintain the telematics system for the Applied Vehicles. Ø A table has been provided on the next page that lists the model and year specific steps required to successfully configure a TCU after it has been replaced. This behavior is normal, and no repairs should be performed. When the AEB system performs an intentional shutdown, the customer may state the following: The ICC stopped working while driving, The AEB/FEB warning light is ON, or turned ON, while driving (Figure 1), The message “Unavailable Front Radar Obstruction” or “Forward Driving Aids Temporarily Disabled Front Sensor Blocked See Owner's Manual” has displayed while driving (Figure 2). DRIVE SHAFT BOOT SERVICE INFORMATION SERVICE INFORMATION If a Drive Shaft (Axle Shaft) Boot on an APPLIED VEHICLE is found to be leaking grease, AND There is no abnormal noise or obvious CV Joint risk due to water intrusion and/or complete grease loss, check for REPAIR KIT-DUST BOOT (cv Joint Boot Kit) availability. ï· If there is a REPAIR KIT-DUST BOOT (CV Joint Boot Kit) available for the vehicle being repaired, do NOT replace the axle. Install a new boot kit following the procedure in the ESM. o Refer to the ESM: TRANSMISSION & DRIVELINE > FRONT AXLE > REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION > FRONT DRIVE SHAFT BOOT o If the complete axle (drive shaft) is replaced when only a new boot is required, the over-repair may be charged back to the retailer. ï· If there is NOT a REPAIR KIT-DUST BOOT (CV Joint Boot Kit) available for the vehicle being repaired, refer to the ESM for further diagnostic information. IMPORTANT: When servicing vehicles with staked axle nuts, refer to ITB21-002 to prevent Drive Shaft thread damage.

BATTERY QUICK CHARGE NOTICE SERVICE INFORMATION When charging the vehicleâs 12 volt battery with the high amperage quick charge function, the ignition should never be ON, or turned ON, while charging. Attempting to start the vehicle, or turning the ignition ON, while using the high amperage quick charge could potentially damage the fuel pump control module. ï· Only turn the ignition ON when either the ESM or a technical service bulletin service procedure states to do so, and only while using a battery maintainer or smart charger set to reflash mode, or a similar setting. ï· Battery voltage should not exceed 16V during a reprograming operation.

AEB WARNING LIGHT BLINKING This bulletin applies only to vehicles equipped with a lane camera. SERVICE INFORMATION If the AEB warning light is blinking (but not illuminated steadily) or the customer states it is blinking, and there are no related DTCs, inspect the windshield. A blinking AEB warning light may occur under the following conditions: - When contamination or foreign material adhere to the lane camera viewing window on the windshield - When driving while it is snowing or when frost forms on the lane camera viewing window on the windshield - When the lane camera viewing window on the windshield is temporarily fogged up NOTE: - If DTCs are present in any of the following related systems: - Laser/Radar, - ICC/ADAS, or - Lane Camera, Refer to the related Electronic Service Manual (ESM) for diagnosis. - Refer to the following pages for further information.

EXTERIOR CLEANING INFORMATION SERVICE INFORMATION When cleaning the exterior of an Infiniti vehicle, damage may occur when using a cleaner with too high of an alkaline concentration. - Always refer to the Appearance and care section of the related owner?s manual. - Not all cleaners are created equal. - Many cleaners come in concentrated form. - Alkaline cleaners (cleaners with a high pH value) can cause spots on paint and trim when not used as directed. - Some commercial car washes use cleaners with a high pH value. - When using cleaners that meet the conditions defined in the Appearance and care section, be sure to carefully follow the cleaner?s directions. - When finished cleaning/washing, rinse thoroughly with clean water. SERVICE INFORMATION An Intelligent Key, for the applied vehicles with INFINITI InTouch?, has the abillity to trigger specific customized settings for the radio, clock, heating and air conditioning (HVAC) and navigation that are unique to that key, and each Intelligent Key for a specific vehicle may have different settings stored. EXAMPLE: The vehicle may be driven by more than one person, and each driver has a personal Intelligent Key. Each driver may adjust their preferred vehicle settings differently. If two or more Intelligent Keys with different stored settings are unintentionally interchanged, one or more of the following perceived issues might be reported by the customer(s). - Radio ? Presets are lost or change - Clock ? Settings are not showing the correct time due to day-light savings or the selected region (time zone) - HVAC ? Controls are set differently - Navigation ? Settings suddenly altered If any of these perceived issues are present: - Confirm if there are multiple Intelligent Keys being used by the customer(s) interchangeably, and if so, verify that each key?s settings are different. PLASTIC INTERIOR TRIM PROTECTIVE COVERING REMOVAL SERVICE INFORMATION Vehicles are delivered with plastic interior trim protective covering on the front and rear seats, front and rear door panel finishers, steering wheel, and sun visors (see examples on page 2). When removing the protective covering, care must be used to avoid scuffs, scrapes, cuts, and other abrasive contact to interior trim components. DO NOT use sharp objects like razor blades, box cutters, knives, etc. when removing the plastic interior trim protective covering. IMPORTANT: All soft trim described in this bulletin is on automatic return to NNA. Any trim found damaged in the way described in this bulletin will be charged back to the dealer.

Infiniti USA Electronic Field Communication Subject: Retailed Vehicle Open Campaign Report Lists Updated The lists for each retailer?s Retailed Vehicle Open Campaign Report has been updated today in DBS. We made our best effort to reassign vehicles to retailers based on the most recent owner information we received. The complexity of filtering out brokers (banks, salvage yards, and insurance companies) and reassigning VINs based on updated owner information affected over 123K records between INFINITI and Nissan, so we are unable to summarize the changes at a regional or retailer level. We suggest the retailers download their lists and have their outbound call centers compare information if necessary. If you have questions, please let us know. Additionally, we will have some enhancements coming in DBS effective November 17, 2018: Owner Data Updates (NNA side): 1. VIN, Campaign Code, and Source are the unique fields 2. Compare all fields except Remove Flag and Comments to see if there is a difference. a. If there is same VIN, Camp ID, and Source and all other fields are also the same then the record will be updated without changing Remove Flag and Comment field b. If there is same VIN, Camp ID, and Source and any other field is different, then the record will be inserted, in this case Remove Flag and Comment field will be blank as this is new record. The remove flag is being removed so the retailer will understand the information they previously flagged for removal has been updated and should be tried again before reapplying the removal flag. c. The retailer benefit of A & B above is duplicate records for the same VIN, Camp ID, and information source with the same customer contact information will no longer display in DBS on the Retailed Vehicle Open Campaign Report.

Infiniti USA Electronic Field Communication Subject: Takata Completion Objectives for Q3 INFINITI is continuing to ask its retailers to urgently help increase customer participation in the Takata recalls to help it achieve 100% customer recall participation for the following vehicles: ? 2001 I30 ? 2002-04 I35 ? 2003-08 FX ? 2002-03 QX4 ? 2006-10 M Sedan INFINITI expects to upload the next refreshed owner list to DBS within the next week. We will also be reassigning VINs to retailers based on information changes. We didn?t reassign any VINs in Q2 to avoid any mid-quarter objective impact. If VINs were repaired out of network, the retailer/region with the original assignment received credit for the repair. This is an extremely serious safety issue and INFINITI is taking significant and unprecedented steps to increase client recall participation but it needs retailer help to achieve its remedy goals. A separate communication will be released later this month informing regional personnel of the requirements for bonus payout in Q3 and Q2 results. The Q3 objective is based on the average number of repairs in Q2 multiplied by the number of service days in Q3 (Mon-Sat minus any holidays). Retailer engagement is critical with this effort. It is a company-wide responsibility to make it a priority to replace these dangerous airbag inflators in affected vehicles. Further, increasing recall participation represents significant gross profit opportunity for our retailers.

DBS Enhancement: Custom VIN Campaign Report INFINITI is pleased to announce the availability of a new DBS enhancement to the Service > Campaign screen: Custom VIN Campaign Report. The tool identifies open campaigns on a customized VIN list loaded into DBS for INFINITI and Nissan vehicles. The following personnel will have access to this tool: - Retailer: Executive Managers, Service Managers, and/or Service Directors - Regions: Regional Aftersales Manager (RAM), Area General Manager (AGM), Fixed Operations Manager (FOM), Regional Service Operation Managers (RSOM), and Retailer Technical Specialist (DTS) The VINS can be loaded individually or up to 10,000 VINs at a time. REDUCED VEHICLE LOAD CAPACITY LABEL (REGULATORY REQUIREMENT) This bulletin applies to vehicles equipped with dealer installed or VPC installed accessories. SERVICE INFORMATION The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) requires that any automobile dealer that installs accessories on a vehicle prior to first retail sale must install a special label (?reduced capacity label?) on that vehicle if the total weight of all accessories on that vehicle exceeds 1.5 percent of the vehicle?s gross vehicle weight rating (GVWR) or 100 pounds, whichever is less. This includes accessories that the dealer installs (dealer installed factory accessories and dealer installed aftermarket accessories), and accessories installed at the Vehicle Processing Center (VPC) prior to the vehicle being delivered to the dealer. IMPORTANT: Failure to comply with this requirement may result in penalties imposed by NHTSA. Follow the instructions in this bulletin to help meet these requirements.

INFINITI; INTELLIGENT KEY INITIALIZATION PROCEDURE STOPS OR WILL NOT CONTINUE SERVICE INFORMATION When the initialization procedure being performed with a new or existing Intelligent Key to an applied vehicle is interrupted (the procedure stops or will not continue), the BCM may be left in learn mode and will not function until it returns to normal mode. Under this condition, the BCM and Intelligent Key(s) will not function normally. If this condition occurs, the BCM must be returned to normal mode and the initialization procedure started over. To get back to the beginning of the Initialization procedure, use one of the following procedures: - Successfully perform the initialization procedure using one of the original Intelligent Keys twice consecutively. - Each successful initialization will follow with two (2) quick tones. OR - When the initialization procedure cannot be successfully performed twice (more than two quick tones), perform the initialization procedure five (5) times using the inoperative ?failed? SERVICE INFORMATION When replacing or adding an Intelligent Key, it is very important to make sure the correct Intelligent Key is selected from the parts department. - A running change was made that will help identify the correct Intelligent Key. - Beginning in late 2017 and early 2018 the last five digits of the Intelligent Key part number is marked on the Intelligent Key under the mechanical key. - See page 2 for location images of this part number addition. NOTE: - A correct Intelligent Key may or may not have the last five digits of the part number as shown on page 2. - The above running change was applied as a ?help? to identify the correct Intelligent Key for a given vehicle, but the actual part number listed in the parts catalog did not change. - Make sure to use the electronic parts catalog (FAST) or equivalent to confirm the correct Intelligent Key for a given vehicle.

2017-2018 QX60 AND QX60 HYBRID; 2ND ROW SEAT HANDLE "CARGO MODE" CHANGE SERVICE INFORMATION A change has been made to the 2nd row seat handles in the Applied Vehicles. Vehicles produced between August 25, 2017 and September 8, 2017 (see VIN information below) are equipped with 2nd row seat handles that have "CARGO MODE" displayed on them (Figure 1). Applied Vehicles built before and after the time period shown above are equipped with blank seat handles (Figure 2). Vehicles built BETWEEN: Wheat interior: 5N1DL0M(**)HC 560656 to 5N1DL0M(**)JC 500895 Graphite or Java interior: 5N1DL0M(**)HC 560638 to 5N1DL0M(**)JC 500932 ARE equipped with 2nd row seat handles with "CARGO MODE" displayed on them. The Infiniti New Vehicle Limited Warranty does not cover replacement of a "CARGO MODE" handle (correctly built vehicle) with a blank handle. Refer to the Infiniti Assurance Products Resource Manual (APRM) for guidelines on warranty coverage. The vehicle owner's manual contains the complete details regarding the limited warranty.

2017 QX60; WHEEL ALIGNMENT AND ICC SENSOR ADJUSTMENT SERVICE INFORMATION SERVICE INFORMATION For Applied Vehicles that are equipped with the Intelligent Cruise Control (ICC) system: - If the rear toe has been adjusted during a wheel alignment, the ICC sensor does not need to be aligned/adjusted. - The FSU (Front Suspension) and RSU (Rear Suspension) sections of the Electronic Service Manual (ESM) incorrectly states that the ICC sensor needs to be adjusted after adjusting rear toe. - 4 wheel alignment is not required before alignment/adjustment of the ICC sensor. - The CCS (Cruise Control System) section of the ESM incorrectly states that 4 wheel alignment is required before the ICC sensor is aligned/adjusted. NOTE: The ESM will be updated with this information at a later date.

DO NOT remove this sticker during PDI, or when the vehicle is washed, or any other time the vehicle is in inventory. NOTE: - Motion activated liftgate sticker is only to be removed by the customer. - Replacement stickers can be obtained from your parts department.

INFINITI; DTC P0456 CAUSED BY EVAP LEAK AT VENT CONTROL VALVE O-RING IF YOU CONFIRM The MIL is ON in an APPLIED VEHICLE with DTC P0456 (EVAP VERY SML LEAK) AND - DTC P0456 is not caused by a loose fuel fill cap (refer to ITB13-044). - An EVAP leak has been detected where the vent control valve mounts to the canister. - The vent control valve O-ring seal is determined to be the cause. ACTION 1. DO NOT REPLACE the vent control valve. 2. Replace the vent control valve O-ring seal (O-ring). - Refer to SERVICE PROCEDURE on page 2.

IF YOU CONFIRM Fluid is leaking from the right side of the transfer assembly (see Figure 1). NOTE: The fluid leak is not caused by the seal shown in Figure 1. ACTION 1. DO NOT REPLACE the transfer assembly. 2. Reseal the transfer assembly. - Refer to the Electronic Service Manual (ESM), section DLN ? Driveline, for transfer assembly removal, reseal, and installation information. - Refer to page 2 and 3 for additional information. CAUTION: Be careful not to damage the transfer assembly right side drive shaft seal when reinstalling the drive shaft.

INFINITI; DIAGNOSIS INFORMATION FOR ABS DTC C1130 SERVICE INFORMATION When diagnosing for DTC C1130 (ENGINE SIGNAL): ECM related DTCs (P-codes) must be diagnosed, repaired, and DTCs erased first. - DTC C1130 is an ABS DTC that indicates an output signal of the ECM is not recognized. - Absent or incorrect ECM signals, that are indicated by corresponding P-codes, may trigger C1130 in the ABS control unit. - Some vehicle features that can be affected by absent or incorrect ECM signals are: - Forward Emergency Braking (FEB) - Intelligent Cruise Control (ICC) - VDC/ABS/TCS
