When the AEB system performs an intentional shutdown, the customer may state the following: The ICC stopped working while driving, The AEB/FEB warning light is ON, or turned ON, while driving (Figure 1), The message “Unavailable Front Radar Obstruction” or “Forward Driving Aids Temporarily Disabled Front Sensor Blocked See Owner's Manual” has displayed while driving (Figure 2). DRIVE SHAFT BOOT SERVICE INFORMATION SERVICE INFORMATION If a Drive Shaft (Axle Shaft) Boot on an APPLIED VEHICLE is found to be leaking grease, AND There is no abnormal noise or obvious CV Joint risk due to water intrusion and/or complete grease loss, check for REPAIR KIT-DUST BOOT (cv Joint Boot Kit) availability. ï· If there is a REPAIR KIT-DUST BOOT (CV Joint Boot Kit) available for the vehicle being repaired, do NOT replace the axle. Install a new boot kit following the procedure in the ESM. o Refer to the ESM: TRANSMISSION & DRIVELINE > FRONT AXLE > REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION > FRONT DRIVE SHAFT BOOT o If the complete axle (drive shaft) is replaced when only a new boot is required, the over-repair may be charged back to the retailer. ï· If there is NOT a REPAIR KIT-DUST BOOT (CV Joint Boot Kit) available for the vehicle being repaired, refer to the ESM for further diagnostic information. IMPORTANT: When servicing vehicles with staked axle nuts, refer to ITB21-002 to prevent Drive Shaft thread damage.

BATTERY QUICK CHARGE NOTICE SERVICE INFORMATION When charging the vehicleâs 12 volt battery with the high amperage quick charge function, the ignition should never be ON, or turned ON, while charging. Attempting to start the vehicle, or turning the ignition ON, while using the high amperage quick charge could potentially damage the fuel pump control module. ï· Only turn the ignition ON when either the ESM or a technical service bulletin service procedure states to do so, and only while using a battery maintainer or smart charger set to reflash mode, or a similar setting. ï· Battery voltage should not exceed 16V during a reprograming operation.

INTELLIGENT KEY DOES NOT WORK AFTER BATTERY REPLACEMENT SERVICE INFORMATION If the Intelligent Key of an APPLIED VEHICLE does not work after replacing the battery, inspect the positive (+) terminals. If the battery side of the Intelligent Key is held by pinching down on the terminals while removing the battery, it is possible to bend the terminals down far enough that they will not touch the contacts on the other half of the Intelligent Key. If the terminals are found to be bent down, pry them back up so that they will come in contact with the other half of the Intelligent Key?s contacts. - Refer to the photos on the following pages.

AIR BAG WARNING LIGHT FLASHING INDICATING SYSTEM DIAGNOSTIC MODE IF YOU CONFIRM The air bag warning light is flashing slowly (repeating 2 seconds ON, 2 seconds OFF). NOTE: If this should occur, the Air Bag Diagnosis Sensor Unit is in Diagnostic Mode and needs to be returned to User Mode. ACTION 1. Use CONSULT-III plus to check for Air Bag DTCs and perform repairs as needed. 2. Return the Air Bag Diagnosis Sensor Unit to User Mode.
