CERTIFICATION LABEL AND VIN PLATE REPLACEMENT SERVICE INFORMATION Because of collision damage or other vehicle repair, a replacement “Certification Label” or “VIN Plate/Label” may be needed. HINT: Certification Label = FMVSS (Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards) label. These items may be available from Infiniti by request if certain criteria are met. This bulletin lists the criteria and provides an application form for such replacements. · The “VIN Plate/Label” (metal plate or vinyl label) is attached to the instrument panel or body on the driver side at the base of the windshield (see Figure 1). · The “Certification Label” (vinyl adhesive label) is located on the lower area of the driver side B-Pillar (see Figure 1).

This behavior is normal, and no repairs should be performed. When the AEB system performs an intentional shutdown, the customer may state the following:  The ICC stopped working while driving,  The AEB/FEB warning light is ON, or turned ON, while driving (Figure 1),  The message “Unavailable Front Radar Obstruction” or “Forward Driving Aids Temporarily Disabled Front Sensor Blocked See Owner's Manual” has displayed while driving (Figure 2). SERVICE INFORMATION In the APPLIED VEHICLES, there are a variety of Seat Belt Warning Lights and Chimes. Refer to the information in this bulletin, along with the related vehicle owner’s manual. Figure 1 Infiniti Bulletins are intended for use by qualified technicians, not 'do-it-yourselfers'. Qualified technicians are properly trained individuals who have the equipment, tools, safety instruction, and know-how to do a job properly and safely. NOTE: If you believe that a described condition may apply to a particular vehicle, DO NOT assume that it does. See your Infiniti retailer to determine if this applies to your vehicle. TELEMATICS (IVC) SERVICE INFORMATION Vehicles equipped with factory telematics system HINT:  If the client experiences Wi-Fi hotspot related concerns only, DO NOT replace the TCU. Have the client contact the AT&T Support line at 1 (888) 719-7242.  See ITB12-011 for models built before those listed above. SERVICE INFORMATION The APPLIED VEHICLES are equipped with a wireless communication device called a Telematics Communication Unit (TCU). The TCU communicates with the Infiniti Data Center to provide various security and convenience services. This bulletin contains important service procedures that must be performed properly in order to set-up and maintain the telematics system for the APPLIED VEHICLES.  An Order of Completion table has been provided on the next page that lists the steps required to successfully configure a TCU after it has been replaced.  A CHECK-OFF SHEET has been provided on page 16. Print and check off steps as they are completed. Staple the completed CHECK-OFF SHEET to the repair order.

If DTC B2E01-96 is Current/Active in the TCU, and no additional Current/Active DTCs are present in the TCU, perform the SERVICE PROCEDURE starting on page 2. This bulletin has been amended. TELEMATICS CONTROL UNIT RESET AFTER AUTOMATIC COLLISION NOTIFICATION SERVICE INFORMATION The Telematics Control Unit (TCU) has the ability to send an automatic collision notification when the vehicle is involved in an accident. Once an automatic collision notification is performed, the function becomes disabled and the TCU must be reset to re-enable the automatic collision notification function. Some models will store DTC B2E1B-97 for “Automatic eCAll locked” as “CURRENT” when this function is disabled. This bulletin describes how to reset the TCU after an automatic collision notification has been performed. For models with B2E1B-97 for “Automatic eCAll locked” set as “CURRENT”, complete the SERVICE PROCEDURE starting on page 2, and then erase DTCs after confirming the TCU condition is “UNLOCK”.

With an active NissanConnect® Services subscription, the TCU communicates with the Nissan Data Center to provide various security and convenience services. When diagnosing DTC B2E1B-06 for “AUTOMATIC ECALL” on an APPLIED VEHICLE:  If DTC B2E1B-06 is not “CRNT” in the IVC, do not replace the TCU. Erase the DTC. No further steps are needed.  If DTC B2E1B-06 is “CRNT” in the IVC, replace the TCU. o Refer to the ESM: REPAIR > DRIVER INFORMATION & MULTIMEDIA > AUDIO, VISUAL & NAVIGATION SYSTEM > REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION > TCU This bulletin has been amended.
