THIS DIAGNOSIS MAY BE INCORRECT DEPENDING ON THE MULTIMETER SETTINGS SELECTED BY THE TECHNICIAN DURING MEASUREMENT. CAUSE: THE MULTI METER RANGE MAYBE SET AT 'AUTO' AND DURING A SWEEP OF THE SENDER FROM 50OHMS TO 998OHMS THE MULTI METER HAS TO CHANGE ITS MEASUREMENT RANGE. FOR APPROXIMATELY 1 SECOND, DURING THE RANGE SWITCH OVER POINT, THE MULTI METER DISPLAY INDICATES AN OPEN CIRCUIT. THIS IS INCORRECTLY BEING DIAGNOSED AS A SENDER FAULT

PLEASE NOTE THAT AS YET JAGUAR VEHICLES WITH BULB FAILURE MONITORING SYSTEMS FOR TRAILER LIGHT FAILURE SENSING ARE NOT COMPATIBLE WITH TRAILER LIGHT BOARDS THAT HAVE LED BASED ILLUMINATION. AS A RESULT OF THIS THE LED LIGHTING ON THE TRAILER BOARD MAY FLICKER DURING THE SENSING FUNCTION. (THIS ISSUES WILL ALSO PRESENT ITSELF IF FITTING LED REAR LIGHT CLUSTERS AVAILABLE IN THE AFTERMARKET(NON-JAGUAR APPROVED ACCESSORY) BASED UPON THIS WE RECOMMEND THAT TRAILER LIGHT BOARDS WITH STANDARD INCANDESCENT BULBS ONLY ARE FITTED.
