ADJUSTER Valve Lash Customer's complaint may include a ticking noise coming from the engine. Technician's observations can refer to spongy or stuck hydraulic lash adjusters. Exhaust lash adjusters found with a "spongy" condition (compressible plunger) leading to the assumption of being defective/malfunctioning. EXHAUST lash adjusters are designed to be COMPRESSIBLE by hand. Intake lash adjusters found with a stiff or stuck condition (non-compressible plunger) leading to the assumption of being defective/malfunctioning. INTAKE lash adjusters are designed to be NON COMPRESSIBLE by hand. Do Not Replace EXHAUST lash adjusters when the following condition is present: should be compressible, but they will exert a reactionary spring force during compression and return to full expansion without a compression force. Do Not Replace INTAKE lash adjusters when the following condition is present: should feel very firm and difficult to compress. Once the correct functioning of the intake and exhaust lash adjusters is validated with the procedure above, refer to the Service Manual "HYDRAULIC LIFTER(S) NOISE DIAGNOSIS" procedure. After the corresponding service procedures from the Service Manual involving the Lash Adjusters have been conducted, refer to the detailed instructions in the Service Manual to diagnose and/or service any other component.

For loose or detached electrical tab, refer to TSB 23-007-25 for repair procedures on reattaching a loose tab. For burned or discolored gridlines on hard tops, DO NOT change the complete Flipper glass assembly. This discoloration is oxidation of the ceramic silver material and is normal. The Engineering standard call out the fact that this bus bar will change in color and is not a deterioration of the material or performance.

CANISTER Vapor -If an issue is detected with the Evaporative System Integrity Module (ESIM) Detector and not the Vapor Canister, only replace the ESIM Detector. -Before replacing the Vapor Canister due to Hard to Fill condition, replicate the condition at the Gas Station. If the condition is replicated, then check: 1) for kinked or pinched Clean Air Hose between the ESIM and the EVAP Air Filter; 2) for plugged EVAP Air Filter; 3) for kinked or pinched Vapor Hose between the Fuel Tank and the Vapor Canister. If the EVAP Filter is restricted, the replace the Filter. -Check if the Vapor Canister is flooded with fuel or the Recirculation Line has fuel. If fuel is found in the Vapor Canister or the Recirculation Line, then drop the Fuel Tank, remove the FDM Lock Ring to check if the internal Vapor Line is properly connected to the FDM Port. Transmission Kit with Torque Converter 1. All Promaster (VF) 3.6L/62TE equipped vehicles. If the transmission bracket to the transmission case fasteners are removed during servicing, the fasteners (Part Number 06511385A$) are one-time usage. Vehicles built prior to 10/23/2015 requires Service Kit PN 68461214AA; includes Transmission Isolator PN 68264483AA, and Adaptation Bracket 68264479AA and Fastener Service Kit PN 68329056AA Vehicles built after on or after 10/23/2015 will require only the Fastener Service Kit PN 68329056AA. 2. All 3.6L/62TE equipped vehicles. If the vehicle you are repairing has a crack in the flex plate or failed pump bushing inspect and confirm that both (2) dowel pins are present in the engine block, which align the transmission center line to the crank shaft centerline and visually inspect the dowel alignment holes in the transmission case. If the holes are damaged or elongated the transmission should be replaced to prevent further damage to the transmission/flexplate or pump bushing due to the inability to properly align the engine to the transmission during the repair. 3. All 62TE equipped vehicles. If pump bushing is scored or damaged and the dowel pin alignment holes are ok, replace the pump assembly as opposed to complete transmission. 4. All 62TE equipped vehicles. If vehicle is jerking/slipping with MIL code(s) P0740 or P2764, check TCC Solenoid operation. If TCC Solenoid is ok, the codes are indicative of a torque converter failure. Replace the torque converter.

For these vehicles, only order a replacement FOBIK in a vehicle down situation. Due to the global shortage, once service inventory of this part is depleted, there may not be any additional parts available for service for an extended period of time. This may cause customer dissatisfaction and extended vehicle down time. We appreciate everyone?s consideration and cooperation to only order this part in a vehicle down situation.

Transmission Oil Pan, Heater (TMU), Tube or O-ring Applies to vehicles equipped with 8 speed transmissions only; if you have a leak that appears to be at the pan the use of proper leak detection is recommended. The fluid in the 8 speeds can be detected with a black light and there are aftermarket spray on leak detection materials to help ensure that the leak is properly diagnosed and not from another location such as cooler lines, heater tubes, or case porosity. Please note that the transmission pan gasket is available for many of the 8 speed applications FCA offers. Please review the available quick connect and transfer tube parts, as replacement of the TMU may not be required. If a TOC line connection is found to be the source, the quick connect may need replacement. If the leak source is coming from the connection of the TMU to the transmission, the transfer tube may need replacement. When parts are returned to the QEC the retaining clips (snap ring) for the quick disconnect fittings are missing. (This leaves a question as to whether the clips were missing from the assembly plant, or the technician removed them in order to make line removal easier.) Please return the clips with the transmission heater and note if they were not there to begin with. For any questions regarding transmission heater, contact FCA Redacted Content. If no response in 15 minutes, proceed with repair.

Flash: Driver Assistance System Module (DASM) Enhancements This bulletin involves reprogramming the DASM with the latest software available. The customer may describe the following:Instrument Panel Cluster (IPC) warnings for the FCW informing the driver to apply the brakes. Software Enhancement (06/02/2020)? Allows customers to turn off the FCW indefinitely, rather than resetting to ?ON? at each key cycle, (Japan and South Korea only). This is an incremental change, which builds upon the 11/22/2019 changes for the symptom described below. The (11/22/2019) release provided limited system improvements to enhance the FCW system hazard detection which may reduce nuisance actions and warnings from incorrectly identified structures and hazards, which can in rare circumstances cause an unwarranted brake event.

DAMPER, Steering Additional service procedure steps before replacing the steering damper: Before istalling the steering damper to the vehicle, it is important to prime the new damper by 5 continuous compression ? extension stroke cycles by hand, each cycle consists of a full compression and a full extension stroke, without stops as fast as possible. Use large screwdrivers inserted in the bushings to aid in purging. This will allow you to stand on the lower screwdriver to hold the damper stationary and pump the rod end easier. Perform purge before installing NOTE: Hand purge to be completed in a vertical position with the base cup sticker end down toward the ground and the rod side facing up.See CSN V41 for detail procedure.
