Service Bulletin/Repair Instructions

KAWASAKI MOTORS CORP., USA HAS DETERMINED THAT A DEFECT WHICH RELATES TO MOTOR VEHICLE SAFETY EXISTS IN 1993 AND 1994 MODEL ZX600-E1 AND ZX600-E2 NINJA ZX-6 MOTORCYCLES. THE WELDING ON THE SWINGARM MAY BE FAULTY. IF THE REAR WHEEL WERE SUBJECTED TO A HARSH IMPACT, SUCH AS HITTING A POT HOLE AT HIGHWAY SPEED, THE WELDED ARE MAY BREAK AND ALLOW ONE OR BOTH OF THE SWINGARM BEAMS TO SEPARATE FROM THE MAIN CASTING. IF THIS HAPPENS, THE RIDER COULD LOSE CONTROL OF THE VEHICLE. TO CORRECT THIS CONDITION, DEALERS WILL REPLACE THE SWINGARM. *TW
