Some 2021-2026 Ford/Lincoln vehicles may exhibit various symptoms including but not limited to the auto start/stop system not operating as intended with a "Check Charging System" message in the instrument panel cluster (IPC) while the charging system is operating properly with no charging related diagnostic trouble codes (DTC) stored. This may be due to someone using an aftermarket programmer to change the body control module (BCM) configuration to disable the auto start/stop system or perform other unsupported programming modifications. To correct this condition on F-150 and Bronco vehicles, download and run the Ford Diagnosis and Repair System (FDRS) application titled "BCM-Charging System Configuration Correction". Running this application will determine if the BCM configuration was modified by the customer and if so, provide the option to return the configuration back to factory settings. For other vehicle models exhibiting concerns related to unsupported aftermarket BCM programming, submit a Technical Support Request (TSR) requesting support to revert the BCM configuration

Some 2023 Escape/Corsair vehicles built on 6-Apr-2023 and through 11-May-2023 and 2023 Bronco Sport/Maverick vehicles built on 30-Jan-2023 and through 6-Jun-2023 may exhibit an illuminated air bag warning indicator with DTC B0082:1A stored in the restraints control module (RCM). This may be due to an issue with the passenger seatbelt retractor at connector C303B. If a connection issue is found, replace the passenger front seatbelt retractor and pretensioner assembly before attempting a wiring repair. This issue does not affect the proper operation of the air bags, retractor and pretensioner. Refer to the Workshop Manual (WSM), Section 501-20A Seatbelt Systems > Removal and Installation. For claiming, use causal part 78611B08 and applicable labor times in Section 12 of the Service Labor Time Standards (SLTS) Manual.

Some 2020-2023 Escape/Corsair vehicles may exhibit a condition where the vehicle drifts left and right within the vehicle's lane while the lane keeping assist is active. The lane keeping aid assists the driver by providing steering torque to help the driver keep the vehicle in the lane when it detects unintentional drifting toward the outside of the lane. Additionally, adaptive cruise control with lane centering provides constant steering torque to keep the vehicle centered in the lane while cruise control is engaged. These are operating characteristics of the lane keeping systems. Refer to the Owner's Manual for complete description of the operation of these systems. Do not attempt diagnosis or repairs or submit a claim for this condition. Inform the customer that the lane keeping system is only an aid, and their hands should stay on the steering wheel at all times while driving.

Some 2023 Escape, Corsair, Bronco Sport and Maverick vehicles built on 01-May-2023 and through 22-Sep-2023 may exhibit a squeal and/or grinding noise and/or vibration from the front brakes while braking. This may be due to excessive wheel hub lateral runout. To correct this condition, remove the front brake disc(s) of the affected wheel(s). Refer to the Workshop Manual (WSM), Section, 206-03. Clean the raised ring-like surface of the front wheel hub near the wheel studs. Using a dial indicator, slowly rotate the wheel hub and measure the runout on the ring-like surface. If the total runout exceeds 0.001 inch (0.03mm), replace the wheel hub. Refer to the WSM, Section 204-01. Document the measured run out in the warranty claim. For claiming use the causal part number 1104 and applicable labor operations in Section 01 of the Service Labor Time Standards (SLTS)

Some 2020-2023 Escape/Corsair vehicles may exhibit a door ajar warning indicator or higher than expected efforts to fully close doors. Verify the hood/liftgate are not open. Confirm all doors are fully closed and latches are fully engaged. Doors will not fully close when lightly letting go of the door or letting it swing closed from a short distance under its own weight. Push/pull effort must be applied to doors while closing to fully engage latch and turn off the ajar signal warning. If doors are still not fully latching closed, manually adjust door striker position to allow for proper alignment and engagement to the door latch. The door hang position may also need to be slightly adjusted to achieve the same effect. Refer to Workshop Manual (WSM), Section 501-03.

Some 2021-2023 Ford and Lincoln vehicles may exhibit DTCs U2100 and/or U3002 stored in the cruise control module (CCM), side obstacle detection control module LH (SODL), side obstacle detection control module RH (SODR), side obstacle detection control module C (SODCMC) and/or side obstacle detection control module D (SODCMD) after a module replacement. DTC U2100 may set when the module has not been properly configured after replacement. DTC U3002 may set when the module has been configured with the incorrect VIN. To correct this condition, verify that the module storing the DTC has been installed following the applicable Workshop Manual (WSM) Removal and Installation procedure. If the DTC is still stored, download and run the Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) Write application found under Toolbox, Multi-Module tab in the Ford Diagnosis and Repair System (FDRS).

For 2000-2024 Ford and Lincoln vehicles, swapping a module from a vehicle for diagnosis purposes is likely to cause errors and is not recommended. It is also not recommended to order a replacement module using a vehicle identification number (VIN) from a different vehicle. Most modules on these affected vehicles are VIN/vehicle specific and hardware variations between modules do exist. Swapping a module from a vehicle or ordering a module using a different vehicle/VIN can cause ineffective repairs and additional vehicle down time. Make sure all appropriate Workshop Manual (WSM) procedures are followed when diagnosing the condition prior to all module replacements and only order modules using the correct VIN.

Some 2020-2023 Lincoln Aviator and 2020-2022 Lincoln Corsair vehicles may exhibit courtesy lamps not illuminating with a door open or always on. Also, ambient lighting may be inoperative or always on. If this concern occurs, check the center console cup holder area for evidence of liquid intrusion first. Liquid can short the local interconnect network (LIN) circuit. Temporarily disconnect the console inline connector(s) during diagnosis to isolate circuit shorts. Search Wiring Diagram (WD) for *cup holder ambient* to display the related connectors. If a short is found in cup holder ambient light ring light emitting diode (LED) connector, repair as necessary. If no evidence of liquid intrusion is found, continue with normal Workshop Manual (WSM) diagnostics.
