This bulletin informs dealers of best practices for diagnosing a LiveWire S2 vehicle that presents a depleted or fully-discharged 12 V battery and making sure contributing issues are identified. Use this bulletin’s troubleshooting guidance to help identify contributing issues affecting 12 V battery health. A depleted or fully discharged 12v battery may be the result of other systems or components affecting 12 V battery health. Or it may be the result of expected behavior relating to certain conditions the 12 V battery was exposed.

SERVICE BULLETIN L1025: PRODUCT PROGRAM 1902 S2 ABS/EHCU MODULE CORRECTION. PURPOSE: Initial Release. This bulletin informs dealers that the Anti-lock Braking System / Electro -Hydraulic Control Unit (ABS EHCU) module on some S2 Del Mar and Mulholland vehicles have a software configuration that prevents them from being unlocked. This prevents the ability to perform an ABS service bleed and software updates. It does not affect the operation of Anti-lock Braking System (ABS). The update is applied by Digital Technician II (DT II) and will apply a seed and key to the Electro Hydraulic Control Unit (EHCU), which enables it to be unlocked via DT II or Firmware Over The Air (FOTA) update. The affected vehicles will also require an EHCU reflash following the update.

The wrench icon is a time-based service reminder and should only first come on two years after the date of manufacture. The Body Control Module (BCM) controls the display of this icon and may have its internal clock altered incorrectly by the Telematic Control Unit (TCU). SERVICE BULLETIN L1013: S2 DEL MAR TCU CELLULAR CONNECTIVITY. PURPOSE: This bulletin informs that there is a population of S2 Del Mar motorcycles where the Telematic Control Unit (TCU) is not communicating on the cellular network. A TCU that is not communicating will prevent the LiveWire S2 mobile app from pairing with the motorcycle. That will prevent the app from displaying information such as Charge Level, Available Range, or charging progress. It will not allow the navigation feature to function on the instrument module. Firmware Over the Air (FOTA) updates are also not available without a cellular signal. The symptoms are: the customer cannot pair the motorcycle to the mobile app after repeated attempts, or the TCU signal strength display in the Bike Status screen always shows no signal. The cause for this issue is TCU software based and will be addressed in a future update. Current estimate time for a Digital Technician II (DT II) field release is June 2024.

SERVICE BULLETIN L1008: LIVEWIRE S2 DEL MAR - NOTES AND UPDATES. PURPOSE: Firmware Over The Air (FOTA). LiveWire S2 models have the ability to update all modules except the Instrument Module (IM) using the cellular network. When a software update is made available over the air, the vehicle will prompt the user to begin the install. If an update prompt comes up while the vehicle is in the dealership's possession, accept all updates. NOTE: DO NOT simultaneously have a Digital Technician II (DT II) connection established and perform a FOTA update. This can delay any Firmware Over the Air (FOTA) updates that come up while connecting to DT II. Also, if a FOTA update has been accepted and is currently running, DO NOT connect a DT II.
