Model: Moto Guzzi V85 (all models) Subject: Vehicle stops on road due to lack of battery charge Dear Dealer / Service Centre / Authorised workshop, We hereby inform you that if the vehicle is stopped on the road due to a lack of battery charge, please proceed as described below. SYMPTOM: Vehicle stop due to lack of charge caused by pinched cable after engine guard assembly code 2S001281-2S001282. SOLUTION: One of the most common causes of lack of battery charge on the vehicles in question is the use of accessory engine guards code 2S00181-2S00182, because the voltage regulator cable is inadvertently pinched during installation of this accessory. Before requesting the replacement of components such as magneto-flywheel or battery be avoided, instead search for the area where the regulator cable has been pinched. The following photo shows the engine guard assembled on a vehicle and in the circled area the area where the pinching of the regulator cable occurs.

V85 TT Euro 5 all versions Subject: ERRATUM Availability of engine ECU calibration update This document cancels and replaces the previous communication dated 24 November 2021 for the V85 TT EMEA – USA versions. Dear Dealer / Service Centre, This is to inform you that, after the P.A.D.S. diagnostic tool has been updated to the latest release available, an additional software is available for the calibration of the ECU for the V85 TT EMEA- USA versions, no update is necessary for V85 TT EMEA 35 kW. The above operation is to be understood as included in the normal maintenance activities to be carried out at the same time as pre-delivery, during the activities scheduled during services, or at the first possible appointment to the Workshop for vehicles on the road. The main contents of the available update are:  Resolution of idling irregularities.  Improvement of vehicle operation at high altitude.  Improvement of possible poor throttle response.

If, on the other hand, the valve stem is damaged, the entire head will need to be replaced.

A new software update for the vehicle-smartphone interface infotainment system is now available for downloading via the PADS diagnostic tool (which must be updated to the most recent version available). V85 TT: instrument cluster calibration update We hereby inform you that a new instrument cluster calibration dedicated to the model in question, is available by downloading it from the P.A.D.S. (update the instrument to the latest version available), which solves a problem concerning the non-update of the remaining fuel range value when on the NAVI page (see detail in red on the photo below). This method could be used by customers who own vehicles equipped with the MULTIMEDIA PLATFORM - MOTO GUZZI MIA and who have activated the license for the navigator function.

Please note that the new engine map is available for the aforementioned model by downloading it from the P.A.D.S. diagnostic tool (which must be updated to the most recent version available). The aforementioned operation is considered part of the normal scheduled maintenance required for the vehicle, and must be performed at the same time as other scheduled maintenance operations either during the pre-delivery procedure, for new vehicles, or at the first available opportunity when the vehicle is brought to the service centre, in the case of vehicles that have already been sold and are in use. We also wish to inform you that the new software will improve the management of the engine advance to avoid distribution noise during accelerations from low rpm.

Moto Guzzi V85TT: NHTSA Recalls 19V-857 Final drive oil leak & 19V-858 Footrest pin retaining clips- PLUS additional Technical Updates Concern: As part of our ongoing commitment to improve product quality and to provide the best possible customer satisfaction, it has come to our attention that non-compliant components may have been installed on a select range of V85TT models. Specifically, the final drive may develop an oil leak which could lead to oil being deposited on the rear tire ( Recall 19V-857) and the footrest pin retaining clips may not have been installed properly leading to the loss of a footrest (Recall 19V-858). In addition, VIN specific technical updates have been released and must be performed while the recall work is being completed
