Technical service bulletins are instructions a manufacturer sent its dealers about a known fault. They are not recalls and the work is usually not free, but they are the clearest signal of a problem the manufacturer already knows about.

Newmar Corporation Service Department was made aware of a Captain Chair Pedestal manufactured by Villa International that had the welds break at the pedestal-to-base plate connection. The weld breaking would cause the seat to no longer comply with FMVSS 207 and 210. Villa filed NHTSA recall # 23E098. In response, Newmar has filed NHTSA # 24V 019 and TC# 2024-016.

Due to ITR releasing a technical bulletin MTB-229-20, Newmar has released a recall bulletin NHTSA # 22V 583 and TC# 2022-436. On certain Newmar motorhomes equipped with International Thermal Research powered heaters, ITR may have installed an incorrect fuel line on the heater, which may leak fuel.

On certain motorhomes, as described in Cummins recall 21E-063, a fuel leak may occur in the fuel hoses between the fuel pump and the remote fuel filter head. A fuel leak in the presence of an ignition source may increase the risk of fire.

(Spartan Chassis) has decided that a defect relating to motor vehicle safety exists in specific motorhomes built on Spartan chassis (NHTSA #21V 319) based on Cummins recall (NHTSA # 21E 032). In response, Newmar Corporation is issuing recall NHTSA # 21V 372 and TC # 2021-303. On certain motorhomes, as described in Cummins recall 21E-032, the fuel rail assembly on the engine may develop leaks, which may result in an undetected prolonged diesel fuel spray. A leak involving spraying/misting fuel in the presence of an ignition source may increase the risk of fire.

On certain motorhomes built on a Spartan chassis, the steering gear mounting fasteners may come loose and fall out or interfere with other steering components. If the steering gear mounting fasteners interfere with other steering components, such as a pitman arm, it may cause difficulty in steering or pin the steering wheel to one direction, which could increase the risk of a crash.
