When driving while it is snowing or when frost forms on the lane camera viewing window on the windshield. When the lane camera viewing window on the windshield is temporarily fogged up. Active Grille Shutter Emission Warranty Extension Dealer Notification *****Dealer Announcement***** Nissan is committed to providing the highest levels of product quality and customer satisfaction. Therefore, Nissan is extending the emission warranty coverage on the model year 2019-2020 Altima Active Grille Shutter to 15 Years or 150,000 miles, whichever occurs first. All other warranty terms, limitations, and conditions remain unchanged. On affected vehicles, over time, the shaft connecting the grille shutter motor and shutter louvers may become twisted and/or cracked resulting in the shutter remaining in the closed position and illumination of the malfunction indicator light (MIL). This issue will have no effect on vehicle safety or drivability, but the vehicle may experience reduced fuel efficiency. During the limited emission warranty extension period, owners are eligible for free replacement of the Active Grille Shutter if a MIL-On condition occurs with DTC P059F and/or P159F that requires replacement of the grille shutter assembly. Owners of eligible vehicles will receive notification of this limited emission warranty extension during December 2023. ***** What Dealers Should Do ***** 1. Verify if vehicles are eligible for this Warranty Extension using the warranty extension page of Service Comm. 2. If a customer contacts the dealer with an Active Grille Shutter concern in an owned or leased vehicle, dealers should use the ESM to diagnose the root cause of the customer concern and identify the correct repair to resolve the customer concerns. NOTE: Dealers will need to follow the warranty process and obtain pre-approval when the repair cost exceeds a Dealerâs Claims Administration/Authorization Limits (DCAL). 3. The service department should submit the applicable warranty claim for the action performed.

12 VOLT BATTERY TESTING FOR IN-SERVICE VEHICLES SERVICE INFORMATION The following Service Information lists NNA procedural recommendations for establishing good connections while performing 12V battery testing. These recommendations are expected to promote uniformity during the connection process, therefore reducing the number of incorrect âTest with DCAâ and âReplaceâ results. HINT: If 12 volt batteries are allowed to discharge for a prolonged period of time, battery life may be drastically reduced. This condition may lead to premature battery replacement and customer dissatisfaction. DRIVE SHAFT BOOT SERVICE INFORMATION SERVICE INFORMATION If a Drive Shaft (Axle Shaft) Boot on an APPLIED VEHICLE is found to be leaking grease, AND There is no abnormal noise or obvious CV Joint risk due to water intrusion and/or complete grease loss, check for REPAIR KIT-DUST BOOT (CV Joint Boot Kit) availability. ï· If there is a REPAIR KIT-DUST BOOT (CV Joint Boot Kit) available for the vehicle being repaired, do NOT replace the axle. Install a new boot kit following the procedure in the ESM. o Refer to the ESM: TRANSMISSION & DRIVELINE > FRONT AXLE > REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION > FRONT DRIVE SHAFT BOOT o If the complete axle (drive shaft) is replaced when only a new boot is required, the over-repair may be charged back to the dealer. ï· If there is NOT a REPAIR KIT-DUST BOOT (CV Joint Boot Kit) available for the vehicle being repaired, refer to the ESM for further diagnostic information. PREVENT FRONT AXLE THREAD DAMAGE DURING NUT REMOVAL SERVICE INFORMATION If an Applied Vehicle needs to have a front axle nut removed, for any reason, the staking of the nut into the axle keyway must first be removed. The essential tool (part number # J-52982, Figure 1) required to remove the nut staking, is called out as a âCape Chiselâ in the Electronic Service Manual (ESM), and must be used to prevent thread damage to the axle (see Figure 2 on page 2). ï· The Cape Chisel arrived at dealers in December of 2020. ï· Damaged threads, due to improper removal of the stake placed in the nut, will not be covered by warranty. This is caused by an internal short to ground in the IPDM or one of the IPDM fuses listed below is open. If B12A3-72 is current or reoccurs after erasing DTCs, inspect the model specific fuse first. VCR Engine Inspection *****Dealer Announcement***** Nissan is conducting a quality action on 10 specific MY 2020 Altima (L34) vehicles identified in Service Comm, to remove and inspect the lower engine oil pan. Affected vehicles are subject to stop sale and are either currently in dealer inventory or assigned and in transit to the dealer. *****What Dealers Should Do***** PLEASE FOLLOW THE ATTACHED REPAIR INSTRUCTIONS: 1. Verify if vehicles are affected by this quality action using Service Comm or DBS National Service History â Open Campaigns I.D. PC724 ï· - New vehicles in dealer inventory can also be identified using DBS (Sales-> Vehicle Inventory, and filter by Open Campaign). ï§ - Refer to NPSB 15-460 for additional information ï· - Please continue to check newly arriving inventory for campaign applicability. 2. Please do not drive, sell, loan or trade the specific 2020 Altima vehicles in Dealer Inventory subject to this Quality Action. 3. Use the attached procedure to inspect the vehicle. ï· - If no gold colored debris is found in the lower engine oil pan, reseal the oil pan per the Electronic Service Manual (ESM). ï§ - File a claim for the inspection, and release the vehicle for sale ï· - If gold colored debris is found in the lower engine oil pan, provide the requested information in an email to nnafqasupport@nissan-usa.com and HOLD the vehicle. ï§ - Do not file a claim Nissan Field Quality will review the E-mail submissions within two (2) business days of receipt and provide further instruction.

ALTIMA, KICKS AND VERSA SEDAN; MIL ON WITH DTC B26FE IF YOU CONFIRM ï· A âKey System Errorâ message is displayed on the combination meter, And ï· DTC B26FE (IPDM - KEY SYSTEM ERROR) is stored in the BCM. ACTION 1. Disconnect the main power harness connector from the IPDM (E16 for Altima and E42 for Kicks and Versa Sedan). ï· - See Figure 1, Figure 2 and Figure 3 on the next page for IPDM main power harness connector locations. 2. Wait at least 20 seconds. 3. Reconnect the main power harness connector to the IPDM. 4. Confirm that the DTC is now past, and then erase the DTC. If the DTC will not erase, refer to the Electronic Service Manual for additional diagnostic information.

OR The MIL is ON and only DTC P0742 (TORQUE CONVERTER) and DTC P187E (T/M SYSTEM MALFUNCTION) are stored in the TCM. NOTE: ï· - If any DTCs other than P0742 or P187E are stored in the TCM, this bulletin does not apply. Refer to the ESM for diagnostic information. ï· - If the customer reports an engine stall concern, this bulletin does not apply. Refer to the ESM for diagnostic information. ACTION 1. Refer to step 1 on page 2 to confirm this bulletin applies to the vehicle you are working on. 2. If this bulletin applies, reprogram the TCM (Transmission Control Module).

Service Comm will de-active PC707 on any unrepaired VINs on November 15, 2019. Please inspect and, if necessary, remedy any vehicles with an open campaign prior to November 15, 2019.

2019-2020 ALTIMA; FOAM OUT OF POSITION AND VISIBLE AT LEADING EDGE OF INSTRUMENT PANEL IF YOU CONFIRM There is foam out of position and visible between the leading edge of the instrument panel and the bottom of the windshield (Figure 1 shows foam out of position as viewed from outside the vehicle on the passenger side). ACTION Remove the foam following the SERVICE PROCEDURE on the next page.
