CAMPAIGN BULLETIN Front Suspension Bolts Voluntary Service Campaign Campaign ID : P6A01 Date: April 21, 2026 *****De a ler An n o u ncem e nt ***** Nissan is conducting a service campaign on certain model year 20 23 Nissan Ariya vehicles identified in Service Comm and National Service History – Open Campaigns. Condition: The affected vehicles were previously subject to a global recall related to the front traction motor initiated in May 2024 (Recall 24V - 391 in the US). The repair instructions contained incorrect torque tightening specifications, and as a result, the front two (2) mounting bolts may have been overtightened during reinstallation of the traction motor assembly. Overtightened bolts may loosen resulting in abnormal noise from the front suspension. However, the bolts will be retained even if they loosen because they are fully covered by the fender protector and air guide. Remedy: The d ealer will replace the two front side mounting bolts and tighten with correct torque. *****What Dealers Should Do***** 1. Verify if vehicles are affected by this service campaign using Service Comm or DBS National Service History – Open Campaign I.D. P 6A01 2. If a retailed vehicle affected by this Campaign ID visits the dealer for service, the dealer should inform the customer about the service campaign and complete the remedy . 3. Once remedied, dealers should submit the applicable warranty claim for the action performed so it can be closed in Service Comm and release the vehicle to the customer .

On certain Nissan ARIYA vehicles, a customer might encounter a no-start condition following a failed Over the Air (OTA) update for the navigation system. When the OTA begins, the navigation clock may reset to the production time, causing the system to determine that the OTA campaign period has expired, leading to the cancellation of the update. Consequently, the IVI unit is unable to send the OTA completion notification to the CAN gateway (CGW). As a result, the vehicle’s IGN ON inhibit control, which is active during the OTA process, is not released, preventing the vehicle from starting. Dealers will update the IVI software and, if needed, also update the CAN gateway software. *****What Dealers Should Do***** 1. Service Bulletin/Repair Instructions

***** Campaign Summary ***** Nissan has notified the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) that it is issuing a Voluntary Safety Recall Campaign on certain 2023 Nissan ARIYA vehicles identified in Service Comm and DBS National Service History. On affected vehicles, the current sensor inside the battery junction box may detect a gap in the current ripple frequency of the motor while operating at high speeds. The misdiagnosis results in the inverter’s Power Electronics Box (PEB) taking a protective measure by cutting the motor’s torque. If this issue occurs, affected vehicles may experience fail-safe mode resulting in a sudden loss of motive power without prior warning, increasing the risk of a crash. In this condition, a malfunction indicator lamp (MIL) and a warning message “EV System OFF” will illuminate on the instrument cluster display. The fail-safe mode is released after the vehicle is completely powered off, allowing for a possible restart. Dealers will inspect affected vehicles and verify whether the vehicle received the inverter software reprogram from campaign R23C6 which improved fail-safe protocols. If campaign R23C6 reprogram was performed, no other action is necessary. If campaign R23C6 reprogram was not performed, the dealer will reprogram the inverter to improve fail-safe protocols. ***** What Dealers Should Do**** 1. Verify if vehicles are affected by this Voluntary Recall using Service Comm or DBS National Service history – Open Campaign I.D. R24A8 2. Dealers must not sell, lease, trade, rent or loan any vehicles in dealer inventory subject to this recall campaign until after the vehicle has been remedied. 3. If a retailed vehicle affected by this Campaign ID visits the dealer for service, the dealer should inform the customer about the recall and communicate that the software update is available.

12 VOLT BATTERY CHARGING LOGIC SERVICE INFORMATION SERVICE INFORMATION 12 volt Lead Acid Battery (12 volt LAB) charging logic and best practices to ensure 12 volt condition is maintained. The ARIYA has many advanced electronic systems that are heavily dependent on the 12 volt LAB. Under certain conditions, the 12 volt LAB may or may not receive charging by the High Voltage battery (HV battery), through the DC/DC converter. Not understanding these conditions can lead to a discharged 12 volt LAB. The ARIYA has several key functions to ensure that the 12 volt LAB is properly tended, and kept at a high State of Charge (SOC). Table 1 on page 2 shows multiple scenarios where the DC/DC converter is providing a charge. Some of these key functions must be understood in order to ensure the vehicle is able to maintain the 12 volt LAB. The Extra Feeding function is an event where the DC/DC converter charges the 12 volt LAB for 10 minutes. This event occurs every 24 hours, regardless of the 12 volt LAB’s SOC, from the last ignition cycle and is intended to maintain the vehicle 12 volt LAB during storage. The Rescue Charging function is an event where the DC/DC converter will output a current load, continuously for 2 hours, in order to recover the 12 volt LAB. During vehicle sleep, the IPDM will wake up every 4 hours to check the 12 volt LAB’s voltage, and then go back to sleep. If during one of these technical wake ups, the IPDM detects that the 12 volt LAB has fallen below 11.2 volts it will initiate “Rescue Charging”. IMPORTANT: During PDI: Ensure that the vehicle is in Ready Mode. Because of how the DC/DC convertor operates, it is important to keep the vehicle in Ready Mode, so that while completing the PDI the 12 volt LAB does not discharge and cause the vehicle to become inoperable.

Complaint counts are reports filed with NHTSA, not failure rates. A common model collects more of them than a rare one that breaks more often.
