SERVICE INFORMATION The APPLIED VEHICLES that come equipped with a factory installed SOS switch, located near the overhead map lamp, also come equipped with a wireless communication device called a Telematics Communication Unit (TCU). With an active NissanConnect® Services subscription, the TCU communicates with the NissanConnect® Services Data Center to provide various security and convenience services. This bulletin contains important service procedures that must be performed properly in order to set-up and maintain the telematics system for the APPLIED VEHICLES. · A table has been provided on the next page that lists the steps required to successfully configure a TCU after it has been replaced. · A CHECK-OFF SHEET has been provided on page 20 to print and check off steps as they are performed. A blinking AEB warning light may occur under the following conditions: When contamination or foreign material adhere to the lane camera viewing window on the windshield. When driving while it is snowing or when frost forms on the lane camera viewing window on the windshield. When the lane camera viewing window on the windshield is temporarily fogged up. 12 VOLT BATTERY TESTING FOR IN-SERVICE VEHICLES SERVICE INFORMATION The following Service Information lists NNA procedural recommendations for establishing good connections while performing 12V battery testing. These recommendations are expected to promote uniformity during the connection process, therefore reducing the number of incorrect âTest with DCAâ and âReplaceâ results. HINT: If 12 volt batteries are allowed to discharge for a prolonged period of time, battery life may be drastically reduced. This condition may lead to premature battery replacement and customer dissatisfaction. IMPORTANT: ï· CPX-900 is now an accepted testing tool to use along with or in place of the DSS-5000 ï· CPX-900 operating instructions are found at: https://nissancpx900.midtronics.com/ ï· DSS-5000 operating instructions are found at: https://nissandss5000.midtronics.com/ ï· DCA-8000 is now a required testing tool to be used for all warranty replacement decisions. DRIVE SHAFT BOOT SERVICE INFORMATION SERVICE INFORMATION If a Drive Shaft (Axle Shaft) Boot on an APPLIED VEHICLE is found to be leaking grease, AND There is no abnormal noise or obvious CV Joint risk due to water intrusion and/or complete grease loss, check for REPAIR KIT-DUST BOOT (CV Joint Boot Kit) availability. ï· If there is a REPAIR KIT-DUST BOOT (CV Joint Boot Kit) available for the vehicle being repaired, do NOT replace the axle. Install a new boot kit following the procedure in the ESM. o Refer to the ESM: TRANSMISSION & DRIVELINE > FRONT AXLE > REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION > FRONT DRIVE SHAFT BOOT o If the complete axle (drive shaft) is replaced when only a new boot is required, the over-repair may be charged back to the dealer. ï· If there is NOT a REPAIR KIT-DUST BOOT (CV Joint Boot Kit) available for the vehicle being repaired, refer to the ESM for further diagnostic information. IMPORTANT: When servicing vehicles with staked axle nuts, refer to NTB21-013 to prevent Drive Shaft thread damage.

Driver's Door Inspection Voluntary Service Campaign Campaign Summary: Nissan is conducting a Voluntary Service Campaign to inspect and, if necessary, replace the driverâs door on certain 2020 model year Nissan Maxima (A36) vehicles. Nissan has determined that three vehicles were produced with a driverâs door that does not meet Nissan quality standards. What Dealers Should Do: 1.Verify if vehicles are affected by this Voluntary Service Campaign using Service Comm or DBS National Service History â Open Campaigns I.D. PC768. 2.Dealers are requested to inspect and, if necessary, repair any affected vehicles in dealer new or pre-owned inventory to ensure customer satisfaction. â¢New vehicles in dealer inventory can also be identified using DBS (Sales-> Vehicle Inventory, and filter by Open Campaign). ï§Refer to NPSB15-460 for additional information 3.Dealers should use NTB20-087 to correct any vehicles subject to this campaign. 4.Once repaired, dealers should submit the claim, using the claims coding provided, and release the vehicle.

VOLUNTARY SERVICE CAMPAIGN 2020 MAXIMA; DRIVERâS DOOR SPOT WELD INSPECTION INTRODUCTION Nissan is conducting this voluntary service campaign, on certain specific model year 2020 Maxima vehicles, to inspect the spot welds on the driverâs door. This service will be performed at no charge to the customer for parts or labor. IDENTIFICATION NUMBER Nissan has assigned identification number PC768 to this campaign. This number must appear on all communication and documentation of any nature dealing with this campaign. DEALER RESPONSIBILITY Dealers are to repair vehicles falling within range of this campaign that enter the service department. This includes vehicles purchased from private parties, vehicles presented by transient (tourists) owners, and vehicles in a dealerâs inventory.

LANE CAMERA AIMING VEHICLE REFERENCE VALUES NOT IN ESM SERVICE INFORMATION If the lane camera requires aiming, the values in Table A on page 4 must be used. ï· For all other models/model years, consult the Electronic Service Manual (ESM). The following CONSULT-III plus (C-III plus) figures and steps are only provided to indicate where the VEHICLE REFERENCE VALUE from Table A is to be entered. The entire camera aiming procedure must be followed to complete the aiming procedure. ï· Refer to the ESM section: CRUISE CONTROL & DRIVER ASSISTANCE > DRIVER ASSISTANCE SYSTEM > DRIVER ASSISTANCE SYSTEM > BASIC INSPECTION > LANE CAMERA UNIT > CAMERA AIMING ADJUSTMENT. 1. 2020 MAXIMA; CREAKING SOUND FROM FRONT SUSPENSION WHILE TURNING IF YOU CONFIRM A creaking sound is present in the front suspension while turning the steering wheel from full lock to full lock while the vehicle is resting on the ground. ACTION 1. Inspect the front strut housings, near the front strut coil springs, for excessive body caulk (seam sealer) contacting the coil spring. 2. If a coil spring is contacting the seam sealer, remove only enough seam sealer to provide clearance for the coil spring to move freely. To prevent damage to the vehicle: ï· - Take care to not remove paint from the strut housing. If bare metal is exposed, it must be repaired with self-etching primer. ï· - Do not remove the seam sealer to the point that it no longer covers the seam. If the seam is exposed it must be repaired with the appropriate seam sealer.
