MIL ON WITH DTC P0181 STORED IN THE ECM IF YOU CONFIRM The customer states the MIL is ON but the vehicle does not have any drivability concerns or reduced power message in the combination meter, AND DTC P0181 for “Fuel Tank Temperature” is stored in either “Past” or “Current” in the ECM. ACTION Follow the SERVICE PROCEDURE in this bulletin to: 1. Replace the fuel temperature sensor. 2. Erase all the DTCs.

CERTIFICATION LABEL AND VIN PLATE REPLACEMENT SERVICE INFORMATION Because of collision damage or other vehicle repair, a replacement “Certification Label” or “VIN Plate/Label” may be needed. HINT: Certification Label = FMVSS (Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards) label. These items may be available from Nissan by request if certain criteria are met. This bulletin lists the criteria and provides an application form for such replacements. · The “VIN Plate/Label” (metal plate or vinyl label) is attached to the instrument panel or body on the driver side at the base of the windshield (see Figure 1). · The “Certification Label” (vinyl adhesive label) is located on the lower area of the driver side B-Pillar (see Figure 1).

FUEL FILLER TUBE LOWER SEAL IS LEAKING AND DTC P0456 IS STORED IN THE ECM IF YOU CONFIRM The vehicle has a visible leak with a smoke machine test coming from the fuel filler tube lower seal, AND DTC P0456 is stored as “Active”, “Past”, or “Pending” in the ECM. ACTION 1. Remove the supplied funnel from the rear of the vehicle or trunk. 2. Insert the funnel completely in the fuel filler tube and remove completely five (5) times. 3. Re-check the fuel filler tube lower seal with a smoke machine to determine visually if any leak is present. 4. If the fuel filler lower seal continues to leak, replace the fuel filler tube. REAR VIEW CAMERA IS INOPERATIVE OR "X" IS DISPLAYED WHEN SHIFTING INTO REVERSE IF YOU CONFIRM The Rear View Camera is inoperative or an "X" is displayed when shifting into reverse, AND There is corrosion at the Rear View Camera wiring harness connector D504 (Figure 2 on page 2). ACTION 1. Replace the Wiper Grommet Seal, the Rear Camera Harness, add Rear Camera Wiring Harness Dampers and, if there are signs of corrosion in the camera connector, the Camera. 2. Add Drain holes to the bottom of the rear door.

AUTOMATIC EMERGENCY BRAKING WARNING LIGHT BLINKING APPLIED SYSTEMS: Vehicles equipped with a lane camera (see Figure 1) SERVICE INFORMATION If the Automatic Emergency Braking (AEB) warning light or is blinking (but not illuminated steadily) or the customer states it is blinking, and there are no related DTCs, inspect the windshield. A blinking AEB warning light may occur under the following conditions: When contamination or foreign material adhere to the lane camera viewing window on the windshield. When driving while it is snowing or when frost forms on the lane camera viewing window on the windshield. When the lane camera viewing window on the windshield is temporarily fogged up. HINT: DTC P0012 for “INTAKE VALVE TIMING CONTROL B1” may be stored along with P0196 for “EOT SENSOR”. ACTION Follow the SERVICE PROCEDURE in this bulletin to diagnose DTC P0196 for “EOT SENSOR”. Disregard P0012 if stored along with P0196. Do not follow the service information in the ESM when diagnosing P0196. The ESM information will be updated at a later date.

CHARGE AIR COOLER SYSTEMS SERVICE INFORMATION SERVICE INFORMATION If a body shop or dealer performs a repair affecting the charge air cooler (Figure 1), please be aware of the following information regarding the charge air cooler coolant refill procedure. IMPORTANT: If the charge air cooler coolant reservoir (Figure 2 on page 2) is not filled properly per details in this bulletin, spark plug and/or engine damage may occur. Figure 1

ENGINE COOLANT SERVICE PROCEDURE SERVICE INFORMATION When draining and refilling the vehicle’s coolant for any reason, refer to the updated Electronic Service Manual (ESM) service procedure starting on page 2 of this bulletin to ensure that all air pockets have been completely purged. When refilling the cooling system, use Genuine Nissan BLUE LONG LIFE ANTIFREEZE or its equivalent, mixed with water that is distilled or demineralized. This amended procedure will be added to the ESM in a future update to the following ESM section: ENGINE > ENGINE COOLING SYSTEM > KR15DDT > PERIODIC MAINTENANCE > ENGINE COOLANT > Refilling IMPORTANT: The following information under step 5 on page 3 will be added to the ESM. If not using CONSULT, turn on cabin heater switch. VOLUNTARY SAFETY RECALL CAMPAIGN 2022-2023 PATHFINDER AND 2021-2023 ROGUE; DRIVER’S SEAT RAIL INSPECTION INTRODUCTION Nissan is conducting this voluntary safety recall campaign on certain specific model year 2022-2023 Pathfinder and 2021-2023 Rogue vehicles to inspect, and if necessary, replace the Driver’s Seat Rail. This service will be performed at no charge to the customer for parts or labor. IDENTIFICATION NUMBER Nissan has assigned identification numbers PC966 and PC980 to this campaign. The applicable number must appear on all communication and documentation of any nature dealing with this campaign. DEALER RESPONSIBILITY It is the dealer’s responsibility to check Service COMM or Dealer Business Systems (DBS) National Service History for the campaign status on each vehicle falling within the range of this voluntary safety recall which for any reason enters the service department. This includes vehicles purchased from private parties or presented by transient (tourist) owners and vehicles in a dealer’s inventory. Federal law requires that new vehicles in dealer inventory which are the subject of a safety recall must be corrected prior to sale. Failure to do so can result in civil penalties by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. While federal law applies only to new vehicles, Nissan strongly encourages dealers to correct any used vehicles in their inventory before they are retailed.

Underhood Switching Module (USM) Configuration Voluntary Service Campaign *****Dealer Announcement***** Nissan is conducting a service campaign on certain specific MY2021-2023 Nissan Rogue vehicles identified in Service Comm and National Service History â Open Campaigns. On affected vehicles, the Underhood Switching Module (USM, also known as IPDM) configuration for the Electrical Energy Management (EEM) may lead to a vehicle no-start condition. Dealers will update the configuration of the USM. *****What Dealers Should Do***** 1. Verify if vehicles are affected by this service campaign using Service Comm or DBS National Service History â Open Campaigns I.D. P3A28 ⢠New vehicles in dealer inventory can also be identified using DBS (Sales-> Vehicle Inventory, and filter by Open Campaign). ï§ Refer to NPSB 15-460 for additional information ⢠Please continue to check newly arriving inventory for campaign applicability. 2. If a retailed vehicle affected by this Campaign ID visits the dealer for service, the dealer should inform the customer about the service campaign and communicate that the updated configuration is available. 3. Once remedied, dealers should submit the applicable warranty claim for the action performed so it can be closed in Service Comm and release the vehicle to the customer.

These recommendations are expected to promote uniformity during the connection process, therefore reducing the number of incorrect âTest with DCAâ and âReplaceâ results.
