SERVICE INFORMATION The Telematics Control Unit (TCU) has the ability to send an automatic collision notification when the vehicle is involved in an accident. Once an automatic collision notification is performed, the function becomes disabled and the TCU must be reset to re-enable the automatic collision notification function. Some models will store DTC B2E1B-97 for “Automatic eCAll locked” as “CURRENT” when this function is disabled. This bulletin describes how to reset the TCU after an automatic collision notification has been performed. For models with B2E1B-97 for “Automatic eCAll locked” set as “CURRENT”, complete the SERVICE PROCEDURE starting on page 2, and then erase DTCs after confirming the TCU condition is “UNLOCK”.

***** Campaign Summary ***** Nissan has notified the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) that it is issuing a Voluntary Safety Recall Campaign on seven (7) specific 2021 and 2024 Nissan Titan vehicles identified in Service Comm and DBS National Service History. Due to a supplier issue that has since been corrected, the Airbag Control Unit (ACU) baseplate in affected vehicles is missing a spacer that prevents interference between the ACU baseplate fastener end and the vehicle’s floor pan. As a result, the fastener may become loose due to potential floor pan interference. If the fastener becomes loose, the ACU will no longer be secure which could possibly result in a delayed inflation or non-deployment of the airbag; increasing the risk of injury in the event of a crash. Dealers will replace the Airbag Control Unit. ***** What Dealers Should Do**** 1. Verify if vehicles are affected by this Voluntary Recall using Service Comm or DBS National Service history – Open Campaign I.D. PD120 2. Dealers must not sell, lease, trade, rent or loan any vehicles in dealer inventory subject to this recall campaign until after the vehicle has been remedied. 3. Dealers should use NTB24-041 to remedy any vehicles subject to this campaign. 4. Once repaired, dealers should submit the claim using the claims coding provided, and release the vehicle.

12 VOLT BATTERY TESTING FOR IN-SERVICE VEHICLES SERVICE INFORMATION The following Service Information lists NNA procedural recommendations for establishing good connections while performing 12V battery testing. These recommendations are expected to promote uniformity during the connection process, therefore reducing the number of incorrect âTest with DCAâ and âReplaceâ results. HINT: If 12 volt batteries are allowed to discharge for a prolonged period of time, battery life may be drastically reduced. This condition may lead to premature battery replacement and customer dissatisfaction. IMPORTANT: ï· CPX-900 is now an accepted testing tool to use along with or in place of the DSS-5000 ï· CPX-900 operating instructions are found at: https://nissancpx900.midtronics.com/ ï· DSS-5000 operating instructions are found at: https://nissandss5000.midtronics.com/ ï· DCA-8000 is now a required testing tool to be used for all warranty replacement decisions.
