AUTOMATIC EMERGENCY BRAKING WARNING LIGHT BLINKING APPLIED SYSTEMS: Vehicles equipped with a lane camera (see Figure 1) SERVICE INFORMATION If the Automatic Emergency Braking (AEB) warning light or is blinking (but not illuminated steadily) or the customer states it is blinking, and there are no related DTCs, inspect the windshield. A blinking AEB warning light may occur under the following conditions:  When contamination or foreign material adhere to the lane camera viewing window on the windshield.  When driving while it is snowing or when frost forms on the lane camera viewing window on the windshield.  When the lane camera viewing window on the windshield is temporarily fogged up. SERVICE INFORMATION The APPLIED VEHICLES that come equipped with a factory installed SOS switch, located near the overhead map lamp, also come equipped with a wireless communication device called a Telematics Communication Unit (TCU). With an active NissanConnect® Services subscription, the TCU communicates with the Nissan Data Center to provide various security and convenience services. CONSULT has been updated to allow DTC B2E01-96 for “Internal battery” to be cleared in the TCU. If DTC B2E01-96 is Current/Active in the TCU, and no additional Current/Active DTCs are present in the TCU, perform the SERVICE PROCEDURE starting on page 2.

12 VOLT BATTERY TESTING FOR IN-SERVICE VEHICLES SERVICE INFORMATION The following Service Information lists NNA procedural recommendations for establishing good connections while performing 12V battery testing. These recommendations are expected to promote uniformity during the connection process, therefore reducing the number of incorrect “Test with DCA” and “Replace” results. HINT: If 12 volt batteries are allowed to discharge for a prolonged period of time, battery life may be drastically reduced. This condition may lead to premature battery replacement and customer dissatisfaction. IMPORTANT:  CPX-900 is now an accepted testing tool to use along with or in place of the DSS-5000  CPX-900 operating instructions are found at: https://nissancpx900.midtronics.com/  DSS-5000 operating instructions are found at: https://nissandss5000.midtronics.com/  DCA-8000 is now a required testing tool to be used for all warranty replacement decisions. The DCA-8000 is also a more efficient charger than previously available, and will charge any available 12 volt lead acid battery safely and accurately as long as all precautions and inputs are made correctly. PAINT CONTAMINATION SERVICE INFORMATION If it is necessary to remove embedded contamination from surfaces of the vehicle that are not covered by the PGF, and the contamination cannot be removed during a standard car wash, use the referenced equipment and materials and follow the SERVICE PROCEDURE starting below. SERVICE PROCEDURE 1. Prepare the vehicle. a. Thoroughly rinse the vehicle, preferably in a shady area, to remove all surface dirt and/or dust. o If the vehicle is extremely dirty, wash the vehicle with soap and water consistent with Nissan car wash procedures. b. Ensure the painted surfaces are dry, cool to the touch, and completely free of dust and water spots, before moving to step 2 on page 2. IMPORTANT: If necessary, use a clay bar on surfaces with contamination to remove hard contaminants and prevent scratching those surfaces while buffing.

Manual Transmission 5th Gear Shift Lever Plate Dealer Inventory *****Dealer Announcement***** Nissan is conducting a dealer inventory quality action on specific MY2023 Nissan Z vehicles to inspect the shift lever plate. Potentially affected vehicles are identified in Service Comm and National Service History – Open Campaigns. During the port mod repair (P2A19) which involved replacing the manual transmission, the shift lever plate may not have been re-installed properly. If the shift lever plate is not installed properly, it can be difficult shifting into 5th gear. Use the attached procedure to perform the inspection, and if necessary remedy any vehicles affected by this quality action prior to sale. DRIVE SHAFT BOOT SERVICE INFORMATION SERVICE INFORMATION If a Drive Shaft (Axle Shaft) Boot on an APPLIED VEHICLE is found to be leaking grease, AND There is no abnormal noise or obvious CV Joint risk due to water intrusion and/or complete grease loss, check for REPAIR KIT-DUST BOOT (CV Joint Boot Kit) availability.  If there is a REPAIR KIT-DUST BOOT (CV Joint Boot Kit) available for the vehicle being repaired, do NOT replace the axle. Install a new boot kit following the procedure in the ESM. o Refer to the ESM: TRANSMISSION & DRIVELINE > FRONT AXLE > REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION > FRONT DRIVE SHAFT BOOT o If the complete axle (drive shaft) is replaced when only a new boot is required, the over-repair may be charged back to the dealer.  If there is NOT a REPAIR KIT-DUST BOOT (CV Joint Boot Kit) available for the vehicle being repaired, refer to the ESM for further diagnostic information. IMPORTANT: When servicing vehicles with staked axle nuts, refer to NTB21-013 to prevent Drive Shaft thread damage.
