Technical service bulletins are instructions a manufacturer sent its dealers about a known fault. They are not recalls and the work is usually not free, but they are the clearest signal of a problem the manufacturer already knows about.

To improve the accuracy of the Command Zone voltage gauge reading, a programming update may be performed that will use a Battery box module to determine system voltage, rather than a cab mounted module.

Most recently, the AB8 Front Impact Protection (FIP) sensors are no longer available and cannot be ordered. If you believe there is an issue with the AB8 FIP sensor, please contact customer service for technical support. We now require all active and inactive diagnostic codes be included when starting a Technical Incident for an SRS issue. Having the codes at the start of the incident ticket process will provide efficient troubleshooting and increase the accuracy of the suggested corrective actions.

Due to the larger size of the PACCAR engine and smaller frame rail design, space constraints within the frame rail area can lead to tight clearances around the engine harness. These tight areas increase the likelihood of harness pinch and rub points may result in insulation damage, wire exposure, or electrical shorts over time.

These flanges will be bolt-on and retrofitted to any Akron/Elkhart four-bolt flanged valves using the same bolts and gaskets found on the standard swivel and plug. We also offer the Trident Hosemate in the flange sizes for the F1, F3, and F5 lengths. This new safety swivel allows the end user to avoid twists in hose lines as they are charged.

This will provide a more accurate voltage input to the module responsible for populating the voltage gauge value.

Historically, the main battery cable for the mechanical siren was attached to the cab power distribution area. The large draw of electrical current from the mechanical siren activation, would starve other electronics in the cab. Sometime causing HVAC systems, radios and other electronics to shut down. Rerouting the main battery cable to either battery box, provides an independent voltage source for the siren, causing less electrical impact to cab area components.

Alternators with a voltage sense terminal must have a voltage sense wire installed between the sense terminal of the alternator and a positive stud of a battery in the main battery bank. The voltage sense wire provides a more accurate voltage measurement to the voltage regulator, resulting in better electrical performance.
