Technical service bulletins are instructions a manufacturer sent its dealers about a known fault. They are not recalls and the work is usually not free, but they are the clearest signal of a problem the manufacturer already knows about.

A new input shaft seal, PN 3610429, has been released for Model Year 2015-2026 Slingshot right angle drives for improved leak resistance. Vehicles produced after 11/10/2025 have the updated seal. When installing, this seal requires a lower pinion rolling torque specification. Improper pinion rolling torque during service of the seal can lead to leaks, noise, and/or damage to the seal or right angle drive due to improper bearing load.

This Team Tip is designed to bring awareness to updated information regarding hood alignment for all 2015-2019 Slingshot models. Updated information has been added to the Service Manual to provide dealers with clear direction on how to properly adjust hood latches, cable release timing and gap alignment using commercially available tools.
TSA-18-02
Polaris has identified a quality issue affecting some Slingshot brake pressure switches. An intermittent failure of the switch triggers a "Brake Failure" malfunction indicator lamp, which is visible on the gauge cluster. There is no change in brake function as a result of this failure.
TSA-18-01
Polaris has identified a quality issue affecting a small number of Slingshot mufflers, where insufficient penetration of muffler plug welds weakens the muffler wall, making it susceptible to fatigue failure. The first mode of failure is a loosening of the wall, distinguishable by a rattle during normal engine operation. If left unrepaired for an extended period of time, a hole may form in the muffler wall resulting in noticeably higher noise levels.

Safety Bulletin T-16-06 has been updated to reflect an additional procedure. Polaris has determined that (PN 2207085-XXX) swingarm kits being shipped to dealers did not include two rubber grommets in the swingarm. If the rubber grommets were not included in the kit, remove the grommets from the original swingarm and install into the new swingarm as part of the procedure.

A new wheel alignment kit has been developed for the Polaris Slingshot. This special tool will allow your dealership to easily check and precisely adjust the alignment settings for wheel toe, caster, and camber. These settings are critical for optimal vehicle performance, and should be checked as a regular maintenance item, as well as any time a modification is made to the suspension or steering system.
T-17-01-01
Slingshot has had a small but concerning number of post bulletin repair contacts due to failure to properly assemble the rear axle, sprocket and nuts. Improper installation may result in a rear axle assembly with insufficient clamp load. When proper clamp load is not achieved, the vehicle may experience erratic or incorrect rear wheel speed sensor readings. Symptoms include a reduction in deceleration during engine braking and a feeling of cruise control being engaged or the ABS solenoid being activated during light to moderate braking. This may occur when the axle splines or sprocket splines are not properly cleaned to remove corrosion or Loctite® prior to reassembly.
T-16-04
Polaris has determined that some Slingshot vehicles could have a steering shaft pinch bolt and set screw that do not meet Polaris quality standards. To improve the steering shaft fit and reduce steering wheel free-play, Polaris has completed validation of revised steering shaft hardware.
T-16-05 R02
Some Slingshot vehicles could experience extended brake pedal travel that may lead to a feeling of poor brake performance. To address this, Slingshot has developed a Secondary Brake Bleed Procedure that will more effectively remove air from the brake system.
T-16-05
Some Slingshot models may experience a brake pedal that travels further than expected when pressure is applied. This may cause a feeling of poor brake performance and lead to a loss of confidence in the ability of the brake system. To address this, Slingshot has developed a Secondary Brake Bleed Procedure that will more effectively reduce air in the brake system.
T-16-09-01
A new pinion seal service procedure has been developed that will allow for service of the seal without removing the angle drive from the vehicle or fully disassembling it. The new procedure details replacement of the pinion shaft crush sleeve which sets pinion gear depth and angle drive backlash. Properly setting pinion gear depth is essential to angle drive performance and longevity.

A STOP RIDE MEANS THE CONSUMER MUST NOT OPERATE THEIR VEHICLE UNTIL THE REPAIR IS COMPLETE. We have been made aware that some dealers are incorrectly communicating the importance of STOP RIDE communications.
T-16-03-01
Polaris has developed a new engine airflow management system, designed to enhance rider comfort in the occupant area of the vehicle. The new design directs air from under the hood area to underneath the vehicle, thereby reducing air transfer to the vehicle cockpit.
T-16-01-01
The Slingshot Division of Polaris Industries has developed a hood bumper replacement kit for all 2015 and 2016 Slingshot models. The original hood isolator brackets are composed of a rubber pad adhered to a metal support bracket. In some cases, the rubber pads may separate from the metal support bracket due to heat and vibration.

Polaris has determined that the clutch switch wire harness on some 2015 Slingshot vehicles was incorrectly routed during manufacturing and may interfere with clutch pedal travel. The interference may damage the switch harness and/or prevent the driver from fully depressing the clutch enough to activate the switch. If the clutch switch isnât allowed to activate, the driver cannot start the engine.
Complaint counts are reports filed with NHTSA, not failure rates. A common model collects more of them than a rare one that breaks more often.
