Resubmitting at request of Mr. Bernard Hardgrave. Advanced technical information on brake fluid for all Porsche vehicles.
122-Z2P4B-06
Technical Background The coolant pump for the high voltage battery actively monitors its own speed and current consumption. For a given commanded speed, if the actual pump speed exceeds a defined value and the current consumption drops below a certain threshold, a dry run condition is detected. The pump communicates this to the high voltage battery control unit and fault code P0C4A00 is stored. One possible cause of this is air in the low temperature cooling system. This fault can take several hundred miles to set.
122-A2R4B-06
There is a possibility that the pressure hose between the charge-air cooler and throttle valve for cylinders 4?6 is rubbing against the cooling fan housing on the affected vehicles. This can cause a leak in the pressure hose at the chafing point over the service life of the vehicle. This will result in reduced engine power and the Check Engine light will be activated.

122-G6X5S-04
Subject: Control unit for high-voltage charger Information: Due to a software error, there is a possibility that the control unit for the high-voltage charger will not switch to energy-savingmode after the vehicle is stopped in the event of specific user behavior. This can result in an increased closed-circuit current load and can thus deplete the vehicle electrical system battery.
122-L6U2W-04
Subject: Plug socket (230 V/100 V/110 V) Symptom: AC plug socket (230 V/100 V/110 V) does not work. Cause: The bit for "Plug socket switch-off" may be set unnecessarily in the gateway control unit.

If there is a complaint about knocking combustion, e.g. during acceleration at high load, the condition of the intake valves and portsmust be checked before doing any other work. If the check shows that the intake valves and intake ports have carbon deposits and are dirty, they must be cleaned using the VAS 294 011 - cleaning unit. There should be no need to replace the components. Date of Introduction: The VAS 294 011 - cleaning unit can be ordered immediately for dealers. Remedial Action: The VAS 294 011 - cleaning unit is used for cleaning carboned-up intake valves and intake ports. Compressed air is used to spray a special granulatemixture into the intake port, where it loosens and removes carbon build-up. The dirty granulate is extracted during spraying using an industrial vacuum cleaner.

Symptom: Hard or jerky gear changes. Cause: This is caused by the transition phase when changing from the engaged gear to the target gear. Various components of the powertrain affect the shifting quality. Remedial Action: In the event of a customer complaint, use PIWIS Tester III with software 36.400.020 (or higher) installed to: ? re-program and code the Tiptronic control unit via "Automatic programming" and ? reset the adaptation values.

Customer Concern: There are reports of failed Porsche Car Connect (PCC) initializations. Technical Concern: Due to input handling in the VTS software, the Porsche Car Connect initialization fails. The ninth character in the VIN may be an ?X? (e.g. WP0AF2A7XHL123456). However, the system sees this ?X? character as invalid and does not transmit the installation code to the backend server. In this case, the initialization ends unsuccessfully. Additionally, the PCC portal does not register the failed attempt.

Concern: Abrupt, ?Harsh? Gear Shift Changes, particularly in first and second gears Information: Rough gear changes with unmatched engine and transmission revs can be attributed to an unadapted PDK. Transmission performance issues characterized by unmatched, abrupt shifts, particularly in first and second gears may require a driving adaption. Prior to the adaption drive, update PDK Software using the latest PT3G Version and perform a calibration. Successful calibration of the PDK is a prerequisite for the adaption drive.

Technical Concern: This failure is the result of faulty message monitoring within the instrument cluster. Because the instrument cluster cannot properly detect and display the current cruise control status, the cruise control does not engage. Service Information: The recommended repair is to replace the instrument cluster. Only part numbers with suffix "G" or later should be used.

Technical Concern: This failure is often accompanied by a long list of instrument cluster faults, including "C11011 - Control unit faulty, watchdog". All reported cases have been at PDI or with very low mileage. Service Information: The recommended repair is to replace the instrument cluster. Only part numbers with suffix "G" or later should be used.

Information: An unfavorably positioned drain bore in the front right power windows mechanism can prevent moisture that penetrates via the window channel frombeing drained completely. If this moisture freezes at low outside temperatures, the mechanism can be damaged when the front right power window is actuated. As a result, the front right side window will no longer close. Remedial Action: Replace front right power windows mechanism.

Information: Due to a software error, there is a possibility that the enhanced seat belt diagnostic function may not detect the driver's correctly fastened seat belt on the affected vehicles. If this happens, the warning message "Driver seat belt not fastened, Fasten seat belt" will be displayed in the instrument cluster. Remedial Action: Re-program the airbag control unit using the PIWIS Tester with software version 35.650.010 (or higher) installed.

Subject: Wire harness for PASMvalve unit Information: The wire harness for the PASM valve unit is not routed correctly in the area around the heat protection panels for the valve unit on the affected vehicles. Due to relative movements while driving and if significant amounts of dirt get in, this can cause chafing on the wire harness and as a result, faults can be entered in the fault memory and the warning "Chassis system fault" may be displayed in the instrument cluster. As a result, the vehicle level can no longer be set.
