Technical service bulletins are instructions a manufacturer sent its dealers about a known fault. They are not recalls and the work is usually not free, but they are the clearest signal of a problem the manufacturer already knows about.

The gasket thickness was increased from 1.5 mm to 3 mm to prevent interference between the collar ends, which previously made it impossible to reach the specified tightening torque. Increasing the gasket thickness ensures sufficient clearance between the collar ends and thus guarantees optimal tightening.

Consequently, the Prevost engineering department is requesting an inspection on about 15 vehicles (built between September 2013 and December 2014) equipped with the 19000lbs IFS suspension to have a clear picture of the vehicles out in the field and identify necessary actions to be taken.

This bulletin resolves A/C Low Pressure messages in the dashboard when the auxiliary fan is not running. The valve will open at a set low pressure to return hot gas in the low pressure circuit until the required pressure is reached, thus preventing the occurrence of low pressure events in the above conditions.
