Technical service bulletins are instructions a manufacturer sent its dealers about a known fault. They are not recalls and the work is usually not free, but they are the clearest signal of a problem the manufacturer already knows about.
TSB-050
An additional cross member or front sill is welded behind the header panel in PRATT chassis, this front sill is designed to support the front of the VP container. The front sill is supposed to be flush with the top of the frame rails. In some cases this front sill has been found to be too low which can result in damage and wear of the VP container.

In severe operating conditions, some sleeves on the bottom of the cylinders positioned over the tractor tires may experience accelerated wear. The sleeve that the lower flex plate is secured to can become worn to the point that it fails and no longer restrains the bottom of the cylinder.

Variation in the PRD bracket mounting hole location in the cross member may result in the PRD assembly installation height being too high resulting in contact between the roof panel and PRD inlet pipe. A revised bracket allows adjustment of the installed height of the PRD assembly.
TSB-044
In the event of a severe collision or roll over, where the lower mountings that restrain the cylinders have been broken; it is possible for some of the drain valves to contact the floor of the trailer due to excessive cylinder movement and or deflection of the container structure. This contact may damage or open the cylinder drain valve.
Complaint counts are reports filed with NHTSA, not failure rates. A common model collects more of them than a rare one that breaks more often.
