Daily, Weekly, Randomly 4.Does the seat move on its own without pressing any switch? Yes / No 5.Does the issue occur only while driving, only at key-on, or while the vehicle is parked? 6.Has the concern occurred after the vehicle has been sitting for an extended period (overnight or several hours)? 7.Does pressing the switch multiple times temporarily restore operation? 8.Have any other seat functions or electrical features been affected at the same time? 9.Has the seat adjuster switch or seat assembly been previously repaired or replaced? Before replacing the seat adjuster switch, verify power, ground, connector engagement, wiring integrity, and inspect for blown fuses or damaged harnesses. If no external issues are found and the concern is verified, an intermittent internal switch failure should be considered.

Customer Experience: Diesel Exhaust Fluid (DEF) gauge on the cluster is erratic or has fluctuations. Gauge is displaying a level not representative of what is in the tank. In some cases the level drops below the low level warning and customers gets an EVIC warning. When DEF level is too low the vehicle will be derated to 5 mph after 200 miles of dropping below the low level warning. From MY13 to MY24, the DEF pump had the level sensor integrated into the pump, but this changed for MY25+. In MY25 and beyond the sensor is now welded to the DEF tank. Technicians are replacing DEF pumps for faulty level sensor concerns. Replacing the DEF pump will do nothing to improve issues with the DEF level gauge. DEF pumps being replaced for level sensor/gauge issues has now become one of the most significant warranty issues for the DEF system as a whole. DEF system Eng. team is currently working with Cummins (who owns the PCM) to properly filter the signal sent from the DEF level sensor in the tank, to prevent the erratic gauge readings.

In these situations, it is recommended to use the appropriate Mopar air filter originally installed on the vehicle. The "AC" level of the part is in development to resolve this issue. 1BP00507AB should still be usable for 2018 and older Model year Cummins engines.

ADJUSTER Seat DJ D2 DP 1st Row Power Seat Fore/Aft Adjuster Inspection TSB is also released for this concern. SYMPTOM/CONDITION: Fore-aft function does NOT work when actuating the seat switch. DIAGNOSIS: 1) Put seat in position for inspection. 2) Disconnect seat wire harness motor connector from the fore-aft motor on the seat adjuster, wait 10 seconds, and reconnect. 3) Verify function of the fore/aft adjuster. Step 1. Open 2nd row door and function rear seat cushions up to stowed position. Step 2. Adjust the driver front seat to the full up position. Use switches on the side shield to move power seat fully up. Step 3. Remove the 4 bolts that hold the seat to the truck floor and discard. The bolts have lock patch that is not reusable. Step 4. Lay the seat down so its laying on its back so the underside of the seat is easily accessible. Step 5. Remove the fore/aft wire harness motor connector from the fore/aft motor (back right of the seat adjuster). Push on the tab to remove the motor wire harness connector from the motor. Leave disconnected for 10 seconds. Step 6. Reconnect the fore/aft wire harness motor connector to the fore/aft motor. Push / Pull / Push the connector with fingers to ensure the wire harness connector is fully seated to the fore/aft motor connector. Step 7. Before assembling the seat back to the truck floor, cycle the seat to check that the motor is working properly by pressing the fore/aft switch. If fore/aft motor does not function, please refer to Replacement Procedure below. Step 8. If the seat is working properly, carefully reassemble the seat back to the truck floor using the four new bolts. Use a torque wrench to verify 47 Nm. Step 9. *Note: Checking the passenger seat will be the same procedure as the driver seat. REPLACEMENT PROCEDURE Only for seats rejected after inspection. All headlamps on the Heavy Duty with SW 24.43.00(Premium) or 24.44.00(Base) will show a U300A-29 -> Ignition Switch-Signal Invalid as a stored DTC. If you experience this condition, please clear the DTCs on SLML and SLMR once and restart the truck and check if the DTC is in active state 10 seconds after the engine is turned ON, check the hardware ignition line and repair as required. If the DTC reappears as stored DTC (See Figure 1), no repair is required. The headlamps are good. The DTCs will appear every time the Ignition is cycled, and should be ignored.

SWITCH Headlamp Before replacing the Headlamp Switch for faulty dimmer operation. Please follow the next steps to corroborate if the Headlamp Switch is malfunctioning: 1.- Please disconnect and reconnect the headlamp Switch. And verify if the issue is corrected. 2.- Review the internal resistance of the switch: a.- For the Right Dimmer (IP) between Pins 6 & 3. The value should be around 5.74 KOhms, when in the lowest position to 311 ohms in the top position (Parade Detent). b.- For the left Dimmer (Ambient Light) between pins 8 & 3. The value should be around 14.52 KOhms, when in the lowest position to 182 ohms in the top position. If a problem is found in the resistor values. Please replace the Switch.

For example, try switching between driving modes. 4.- Read at the BCM diagnosis session if BCM is receiving information from gear selector. 5.- Do a hard reset to BCM and evaluate if any DTC or failure code is set. Retest if failure still present. If there are no DTC's, physical defects, gear selector inop, then the Electronic Gear Selector Switch does not need to be replaced.

SEAT BELT Front Outer Seatbelt Slow Retraction / Seat Belt Cleaning If the vehicle exhibits slow seatbelt retraction, prior to replacing seatbelt please inspect for debris and any build up on the webbing and DRing. If evidence of debris and build up, please clean seatbelt webbing or turning loop as described below. Seat Belt Maintenance: Do not bleach, dye or clean the belts with chemical solvents or abrasive cleaners. This will weaken the fabric. If the belts need cleaning, use a mild soap solution or lukewarm water. Do not remove the belts from the vehicle to wash them. Dry with a soft cloth. Sun damage can also weaken the fabric. Replace the belts if they appear frayed or worn or if the buckles do not work properly. NOTE: If the belts retract slowly, inspect the upper turning loop for soiling. If soiling is present, clean with a wet soft cloth until all residue is removed.
